I highly recommend Suetonius' "The Twelve Caesars" to all history buffs. He's one of the first historians to make an attempt at objectivity, and his style is highly entertaining; a much easier read than Tacitus, whose style is, well, more taciturn.

Same goes for this as for the last...how'd DG's midterm go, by the by? I heard ours was a bear (I'm an auditor, so I don't know firsthand), he was PO'ed b/c only a handful were doing the readings faithfully...
