"A few months back I saw a post with links to news accounts of Muslim organizations and leaders, here and worldwide, denouncing the tragedy and condemning the perps."

REALLY??? I missed it, can you bump the thread/s Please?

I must also miss all the denouncing and condemning that the do during our war effort, and of course they are backing us to find the Osama and his killing animals...

And the 'silence' on the beheading of the American Journalist was very apparent (or was their a thread showing the worldwide Muslim condemnation of that too that I missed?)

Did you see the USA poll about how the muslims don't think arabs were behind the WTC attacks, it's shades of OJ again....probably worse!

If they could blow us all up...do you think they'd hesitate for a second?

I know some Americans that feel the same way about them. I don't care much about the religious aspects of all this. We have a war to fight. We should concentrate on winning it.

Whether it was the crusades to "liberate" the Holy Land from muslim control, or the Inquisition to smoke out heretics, or the brutal persecution of fellow Christians who had somewhat different theologies than the dominant one, Christian zeal has produced barbarism after barbarism in the record of history.

The death toll of all of the Christian inquisitions in history (over 5 centuries) is approximately the same as the death toll of 2 hours' worth of Muslim terrorism on 9/11.

I see your point. It's just that the muslims are not assimilating and not accepting our value systems.
They go to their mosques and eventually they hear some extremist speakers, and a portion of them become convinced to become militant. At least that is what it seems like to me. And since they never claimed this country to begin with, they are easy to "turn" militant.

I know God has forgiven you though, so go ahead and forgive yourself.

If I could figure a way around my promise of 33 years ago, I'd be capping [them] myself.

What sort of promise is this, keeping you from what seems to be your heart's desire?

Im sorry, but thats not WJWD. I do not quietly celebrate if one "gets his due". I am a devout Christian and am pro life but never would I celebrate the murder of another.

Being an agnostic, I am disgusted by the many examples through history of killing in the name of God. But I would also point out that other than a few bad apples, Christianity has become civilized while much of Islam chooses to live in a perpetual barbaric state. At the very least, most practioners of Islam are misoginistic and intolerant of Western culture.

From what I've read, it seems once Islam becomes the majority religion/political party, things begin to deteriorate for Christians and Jews within that society.

Historically inaccurate.

"Political party" may be the key descriptor here.

Pays to remember that the militant of Islam was dead asleep and the Arab states were in decided decline until the "arc of radical Islam" envisioned by the communists was effected ... primarily with the help of the organizing principle that was Israel (confected by useless idiot Westerners bent on their own self-interest as pressured -- as always -- by Soviet-sponsored terrorists).

Careful there, Vet.

"Agnostics" have killed quite a few more innocents in the search for Utopia than the religious types...

Are you really that unread? The crusades were an abomination! The first crusade killed more Middle eastern Christians than anyone else. Brutally. They raped and killed and destroyed - other Christians. Why? Because they looked differently. You wonder why there're few natural Christians in the middle east? Its cause your precious piece of crap crusaders killed them! The crusaders never, hardly, even fought arabs. Their primary enemy, when not just killing for the sake of killing, were the Turks. Against the Turks they could have allied with the arab Moslems, they could have allied with the Monguls, but in their pathetic ignorance they chose not to. A pox on the crusaders and a pox on all christers who follow their philosopy of ignorance.

Really? What does agnosticism have to do with Utopia? Sure you're not thinking of libertarian atheists?

No and you are a moron. I would wager that I have read much more non revisionist history on the Crusades than you have.
