Thought Condit Was Bad on Family Values? Look at Dennis Cardoza's Voting Record!!!

Condidit is toast but just look what the Democrat nominee for his seat believes:

Modesto - Gary Condit has been repudiated. The adulterous congressman from California's Central Valley lost the Democratic nomination to his former staffer, Dennis Cardoza. In his victory speech, Cardoza pledged to stand up for "families" and "values". Yet his words ring hollow. Cardoza is as dangerous to family values, if not more dangerous, than Gary Condit. As a California state assemblyman, Cardoza has voted for transsexual teachers, homosexual education for school children, and huge fines against businesses, including religious bookstores and Boy Scouts organizations, that refuse to hire transsexuals.

Assemblyman Dennis Cardoza has voted in favor of these controversial anti-family bills:

AB 537 (1999) - Prohibits parents and school boards from getting rid of transsexual and homosexual school teachers.

AB 2142 (2000) - Authorizes government fines up to $150,000 against businesses, including religious bookstores and Boy Scouts organizations, that refuse to hire transsexuals.

AB 1785 (2000) - Changes curriculum frameworks to require California public school students to "appreciate . . . sexual orientation."

In addition, Dennis Cardoza has refused to sign the Marriage Protection Pledge, which has been signed by numerous state and federal candidates in California. Candidates who sign the Marriage Protection Pledge are making a simple and positive promise that as lawmakers they will protect the rights and benefits of marriage for only a man and a woman, as it should be. Cardoza's Republican opponent, Dick Monteith, has signed the Marriage Protection Pledge to publicly oppose the "domestic partners" and "civil unions" agenda that is targeting marriage rights.

"Dennis Cardoza has quietly been in the pocket of the homosexual and transsexual activists during his political career in Sacramento," said Randy Thomasson, Executive Director of Campaign for California Families, a statewide nonprofit, nonpartisan family issues organizataion that has fun rull-page newspaper ads urging Cardoza to oppose the radical homosexual and transsexual agenda. "Cardoza's record is shocking to families and offensive to Valley Values."

One week before the primary election, Condidit's camp (Chad "the hanging chad" Condit) came out with the news that Cardoza used to run a strip joint (no kidding). In addition, some people say Cardoza adopted a couple of kids just for show and tell (if you get my drift). Cardoza is just about as bad as Condit. Go, Dick Monteith!!!!! For victory & freedom!!!

The now familiar buzzwords. What's he think he's running for anyway?Congress concerns itself with issues of national defense and national commerce.Too bad the GOP gets sucked into this same garbage. It's a sad thing watching candidates trying to "out- family" and "out-children" one another.

There is no way Cardoza could be worse than Condit. That is unless he is a serial adulterer who kills paramour interns.

The voters of California soundly voted in favor of "marriage protection" in 2000. Every candidate for every office should be asked to sign this pledge. The State Legislature which is controlled by democraps has been trying to circumvent the will of the voters by overturning Prop 22 (marriage protection). If we don't watch out, our wishes will be thwarted (again). For victory & freedom!!!

If I remember correctly, Condit's voting record was never the primary problem. He voted the way he needed to be reelected in a conservative district, so his votes tended to be "blue dog" democrat. The problems involved his actions, which finally came to light when Chandra disappeared.

Exactly right. Condidit always voted rather conservatively which his constituents liked. (They didn't know he was a sleaze bag.) So Cardoza being exposed as an anti-family assemblyman will NOT sit well with the constituency (although it was changed somewhat by reapportionment). Anyway, I think this is a winning issue for Monteith. Go, Dick Monteith. Say, can someone post a web site for Monteith? I want to give that man some cash! For victory & freedom!!!

Remember that the state legislature redrew the lines of the 18th District. They assumed that Condit would lose, and packed in more Democrats to try to hold the seat for whomever knocked Condit out.

The district is now about 54% Democrat, and is less "conservative" across the board than it was before. (Though it's no L.A. or San Francisco, to be sure.)

Therefore, the Republican needs a two-part strategy to beat Cardoza. 1) Emphasize the "tradtional values" gap, and 2) Tie Cardoza to Condit. How long did he work for him? What did he do for him? In the immortal words of Senator Howard Baker during the Nixon hearings, "What did Cardoza know, and when did he know it?

The key problem for the Republican is closing the name-recognition gap. Almost everybody knows who Cardoza is, because they had to learn his name to beat Condit. I hope the national Republicans will pump in some serious money to help him close that gap.

Actually, how do we know that Cardoza isn't Condidit's stalking horse? Maybe if elected, Cardoza will hire the Mikes, Chad and Cadee, and even Condidit. Would anybody decent work for Condidit? And wouldn't Condidit have the goods on anyone he hired to work for him?

I wouldn't trust Cardoza any further than I could throw Condidit.

I have something to say about Dick Monteith. I've met him and his sweet wife and I've heard Monteith speak. He's a dynamic speaker, a real motivator. He was apparently burned in a fire or something because his face is scarred. Those scars no doubt built character and resolve. Mrs. Monteith told me some people say her husband is too old to run for Congress (he's 70, I think). She laughed and told me nobody can keep up with him as it is; he's very energetic. I believe he will make a GREAT congressman. Cardoza is definitely beatable, although it's gonna take big bucks. If anyone can do it, Dick Monteith can. For victory & freedom!!!

I think I'm an extremist - extremely pissed off about Gary "OJ" Condit's behavior. Just because his re-erection bid fizzled out doesn't mean he should be off the hook. We need to keep the pressure up and continue to demand his resignation. If not, he gets to serve almost another YEAR in our faces. He could do a lot of damage between now and then. We have not forgotten; Gary Condit's ROTTEN! For victory & freedom!!!

State Senator Dick Monteith has been elected twice in a democrap district. His ability to appeal to conservative demos is a real plus in this election. I think the slimy Cardoza has a real challenge. He's going to have to lie and sleaze like never before. Senator Monteith is not only energetic but he is also a real scrapper. This is definitely a opportunity for the GOP. I hope they rally around with lots of bucks.
