Atheistic communists do not want to be "martyrs" like the Islamic Jihad. Their paradise is the here and now. They will not start anything which they think they might be unable to escape from. This is simply North Korea playing "bad cop" to China's "good cop", for propaganda purposes. They are Chinese puppets and their purpose is to make China look good.
Are we still feeding these starving losers?

This rhetoric will intensify. More belligerent speeches delivered more often. If we can tune out these speeches and ignore them, that would be the best. But, we have these overeducated people who have to "care". These people are exactly the target audience of N. Korean propaganda. Unfortunately, it includes Colin Powell and many in State Department.

And there have been since our ancestors picked up a rock to crush the skull of those "other" guys. For some reason your statement immediately started the opening strains of "Also Sprach Zarathustra" playing in my brain.

So, are they going to pull a chicken terrorist stunt, or did they finally develop a delivery system? It's called the Taepo-Dong 2, with an enhanced third stage. Their pals across the border on the northwest can provide them with advanced missile guidance technology courtesy of Bill Clinton and the late lamentable Ron Brown.

Looks like Bush's continuation of Clinton's North Korea appeasement policy and shipment of several hundred dollars worth of oil and other economic aid to that regime in an attempt to prevent it from threatening nuclear attack against us is not working very well. Time to abandon the bogus North Korean Communist appeasing Framework Agreement.

Are we still feeding these starving losers? Are you talking about the starving masses who have no say in what happens in their country, and may not even be communist or willing to die for anything other than their immediate family? Or are you talking about the elite leaders who are just as bad as any other dictators, who divert much of the country's food and money to the huge armed forces to keep them happy and the leaders in power?

I am not sure that N. Korea would have the balls to strike first and it would seem to me that they would be crippled if we attacked them first.
With that said do we really have anything to worry about here?

I have no doubt that the vast majority of North Koreans detest communism.
I was merely commenting on the irony of a country threatening to attack a source of its food supply.

Pyongyang also warned of dropping starving North Koreans on top of the heads of stinking yanks!

It's called the Taepo-Dong 2, with an enhanced third stage. Thanks for the info. After reading a bit at the CIA, it looks like this thing might pretty soon be able to deliver a large warhead to Alaska or Hawaii or a small one to the continental U.S., with very poor accuracy in both cases.
Useless for war, quite good for terror (reminds me of a Stargate SG1 episode).

Though his fictional scenario is not exactly parallel, in that it involves a Middle East sanctioned nuclear strike at the U.S., read Tom Clancy's "The Sum of All Fears" and you may think otherwise.
FWIW I didn't like the resoluton of the plot.

Didn't Vietnam become a net exporter of rice after they dropped the communist price controls? Idiot communists always think they can go against the laws of economics (so do our drug nazis, but that's another thread...).
