That isn't a gun issue, that is a punishment issue. If you think a guy who commits a particular crime should never own a gun again, then it is stupid to let him out. Do you want predators out roaming the streets?

Do you really think you are going to control his behavior? Laws against murder and theft won't deter him, but that gun control law will keep him on the strait and narrow? Get real.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.
Our FR gun grabbing 'conservative' contingent, - led by tex & roscoe, - just can't seem to get across the PC government stance on guns. - This being that while 'we the people' certainly have a RKBA's, -- it is the government that gets to decide exactly who 'we' are.

And, of course, it is way over their heads why anyone could object to such reasonable regulations. - After all, its all for our own safety.
