On August 7th Glenn Beck spoke with Oklahoma City reporter Jayna Davis. This broadcast went in-depth about the connections between the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing and the Middle East. The broadcast ran 2 1/2 hours and can be listened to now (or next Thursday on Glenn's show).

I listened to this on Wednesday and was amazed at the evidence of Iraqi involvement with the OKC bombing. Ms. Davis is a very brave woman who has the facts. David Shippers was also on the show and believes Ms. Davis has nailed this one. At the site are numerous links to "evidence" stories.

The one that really shocked me was that the man who was identified by several witnesses as John Doe #2 back in 1995, left OKC to live in Boston and work at Logan airport where some of the 9-11 hijackers took off. The man in question is now missing.

There also is an amazing story of an OKC hotel where McVeigh stayed in 95 and Atta and Moussaui stayed in 2001 saying they had been refered to the place.

I really liked Mr. Shippers' comment about why the Reno FBI turned away the evidence. Clinton was coming up on re-election in '96 and had just been hammered in the '94 election. Clintoon did not want to admit that we had been attacked so savagely on his watch. It also fit his scheme to blame right-wingers (McVeigh) without exposing the Iraqi connection. Maybe Bush will release this evidence as we head toward war with Iraq.

I just don't get it. Why would Iraqi or any other Middle Eastern terrorists have blown up a Federal Building in Oklahoma City??? That's been my biggest problem all along with the ME connection theories about OKC. I wouldn't have such an issue with it, if someone could explain the rationale of that target. It makes much more sense that someone like McVeigh would choose a "Heartland" target of that sort, although I definitely can't believe that he acted alone (and I'm not completely convinced he wasn't framed by the Feds....)

Why wouldn't they be involved with a bombing in the heartland of our nation? It makes perfect sense to me, especially when you consider they may also have done the first WTC bombing. In other words, this may not have been a lone act. They just kept up the attacks and Sept 11th is the most recent one. There are those who say this anyway.

I believe that it was Schippers during the show who said that the original target was Washington but we got wind of that and so the target had to move to middle America. For some reason a large number of supposed Iraqi defectors were resettled in Oklahoma. I guess some cities get Somalians, some get Albanians, and some get Iraquis. Good ol' US resettlement policy.

One possible motive was suggested in an article I recently read, posted here on FR. It had to do with the Federal Marshalls involvement in the prosecution of terrorists for the WTC '93 bombing. There was a Federal Marshalls office in the Murrah building I believe. (Don't hold me to the letter on that. It has been a week or two since I read it.)

At any rate I can certainly see why ME terrorists would choose a 'heartland' target. Terrorism is all about the psychology of terrorizing. What could shake us up more than to feel that even midwest 'mainstreet' America isn't safe? They aren't looking to beat us through attrition or destruction of infra-structure. They can't accomplish that. They just want us to fear destruction and give in.

Just for record: I've been here awhile, I've seen everything cited in the original posting, and I'm not convinced that the Feds were not involved either.

A deaf, dumb, and blind arab terrorist should expect to find just a few (!) more federal employees in a federal building when he lit the fuze.

Oh, and I note from another source (Drudge again)that the current investigation into the anthrax letters includes at least one "right wing GI Joe type" who bragged about service in Rhodesia....some things don't seem to change much.

These resettlement programs are one of the many wise uses of your tax dollars.How many people know they are actually taxed to pay for the resettlement of terrorists and then provide housing and subsistence?

Meanwhile the prosecutors refuse to use the eyewitness testimony of the motel manager that places Moussaoui with Mohamed Atta in OKC on or about August 1, 2001.

The Bush Justice Department would rather risk having Moussaoui aquitted than connect the 9-11 attack to the OKC bombing.

The two explanations are not mutually exclusive. Al Qaeda (or whatever the outfit was called in 1995) could have been doing Clinton a favor by going after the Murrah Building. Would help to explain why Clinton helped bin Laden out in '98.

My thought runs more to encouraging the (islamic) terrorists via plants and maybe even by McVeigh (as an agent who was himself tricked), being sure that the federal employee losses were very short on agents and the news coverage long on wounded kiddies and mamas; then doing the whole blame the far right (militia) thing.

Not a clean quid-pro-quo, even WJC would have worried about something like that coming out. As it is, the vast majority of the public is now willing to call any such theory mere lunacy.

PS: I also think that this possibility and the mechanics it takes are valid and that they put quits to the theory that no one in any US agency could have had an inkling of what was to come.
