so you Californians can send every illegal alien to college but now you are facing cuts in education....hmmmm
I think Cal is reaping what it has sowed....a lot of states including mine are heading that way...
make so many new benefits and add so many to the state welfare/health care rolls and what do they expect...

want to add that I don't think things will change at all....
the rich and powerful are always insulated from crime, taxes, inconviniences............why would they care if Joe the plumber's taxes go up to pay for little Juan the illegal to go to Cal State....

Amazing how they always seem to discover AFTER an election that the problem was a little larger then they realizedJust like Mexico. Only California can't devalue their currency after every election.

Did you see that post the other day that if the State fired
all state workers
en masse, it would only save $17 billion per year - still not enough to balance the budget.
The RATS are going to have to drink the Kool-Aid that they prepared for themselves.

Gray Davis has never been that much of a liberal except when he needed them to get reelected. And now here's he announcing $5 billion in budget cuts AFTER the election. You can be sure it doesn't sit well with the liberal leadership that runs the State Legislature or with the Los Angeles Slimes . They were expecting mega tax increases. Looks like the internecine warfare among the Democrats is just getting underway and the subsequent meltdown should be a hoot to watch. Pass out the popcorn, please. **

state's budget problems are even worse than previously reported,
Gomer Pyle said it best:
Surprise Surprise Surprise!

It's going to be educational, for sure.
The "cuts" will just be a scrap to throw the conservatives, but the budget will of necessity be balanced on the backs of the taxpayers.
I predict a massive increase in estate taxes in California. Retroactive, like what clinton did.
