Bump!
Spread this thread like hell throughout the US and international news media, to Capitol Hill, and even to within the bowels of the 'anti-War' (actually, anti-Bush) movement.

I had one heck of a time getting this formated the way I wanted to. The original post appears at the source link. It is formated better. For some reason this post did not want to hold center. I had to add about thirty additional < center >< /center > commands to get it posted here. In the process some of the spacing took a hit. Next time I'll just link in the off FR site source. (Not implying this is FR forum related, just html quirks related.)

Doughty, can you or anyone else here with web graphics capability, arrange a BUMPER STICKER with the flags of all of these nation arranged on the top, bottom and both sides. In the middle (on white background), simply in black letters:
"COALITION OF THE WILLING"
It would be cool! I already have a friend in the states who has the Union Jack, and the Aussie Flag next to her USA flag on her car.
The more we spread this news (and signs/bumper stickers are a great way) that we are IN FACT not 'alone', the more foolish the Iraq-coddlers look.
Can anyone dummy up my idea here as a prototype to see what such a "COALITI0N OF THE WILLING" Bumper Sticker with all those flags might look like?
I would do this myself if I had the graphics capability.....

Add Ireland - they were upset they didn't get a chance to sign the letter from the other Europeans. Also Scotland, too, I presume, because of Lord George Robertson's position in NATO and presumption they supported Turkey (since Scotland was not amongst the 3 weasels)

It will make those peacemongers go batty to see all this support for the US shoved under their noses. This is PRECISELY! how very powerful of an argument this is for patriots, how it totally shames the enemy/opposition, and how it is also great graphically and can easily understood by Americans who would see these signs and bumper stickers all over the place starting this weekend.
I mean it.
We need to get these massproduced and distributed 24/7 as signs, posters and bumper stickers, as we did with "Sore Loserman".

Two perfect companion bumper stickers, imho, for right and left, would be a
"COALITION OF THE WILLING" with all those damned international ally flags (as visualized), and then three flags spliced together--Belgium, France, Germany, with three noticeable "X"s through them. I'll be 90% of Americans driving would recognize and understand the statement.
Let's isolate France and Germany and Belgium in the American mindset, and have fun doing it!!!

Steven, I need an article to confirm your nominations. Ireland is a confirmed neutral nation, who didn't even allow allied forces to use it's soil in WWII.
Articles I found stated Ireland is allowing our aircraft to touch down there, but they are still claiming to only back this operation as long as it has UN backing.

Great, great post DoughtyOne! It is so infuriating to hear the media play, ad nauseum, the snippets of those countries who have voiced oppostion. The truth is, a new world order is beginning to take form. Once more, the US and the UK along with their real allies will deliver the world from tyranny.

Let the US back away from Iraq and see how many of these countries want to invade it.
You talk of liberating the people of Iraq, I've always heard that people get the government they deserve. I've never seen that freedom welfare worked any better than our domestic welfare.
Just wait until after we whip thier butts and try to occupy a country of 21,000,000 muslims. Well maybe there will only be 17,000,000 left, that'll make it easier.

Do you really think we are going to be able to occupy Iraq and how ever many muslims they have left for 2 to 10 years?

The preceding was a presentation based on a concept developed by goodnesswins. This page was produced
as a result of seeing multiple posts of her presentation under at least two different names.
New graphics were developed and links providing documentation were added. I made contact with one
person but didn't receive a response, so I was unclear who to credit.
Now we know, it was goodnesswins great idea. My thanks to out to her.

USA Today Jan 3, 2003
"...its (Turkey's)people overwhelmingly oppose war in Iraq. The government has repeatedly balked at U.S. requests to deploy thousands of U.S. troops in Turkey for a possible invasion of neighboring Iraq.
"The United States is our ally but there might be issues on which the interests of allies do not meet," Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis told NTV television. "It would not suit us. Then, Turkey would become a country opening a front against its neighbor."
With friends like this who needs enemies?
Take Turkey off your list!!!!Or put France Germany and other European nations who are also "balking"!
Want more?
Agence France Presse dec 23 2002:
Turk Parliamentary leader Eyup Fatsa speaks: "I do not think a decision allowing war could emerge from the parliament easily. There is unanimity in parliament against war," Eyup Fatsa, a deputy parliamentary group chairman, was quoted by the Anatolia news agency as saying.
Turkey, the only Muslim member of NATO, has long called for a peaceful resolution to the Iraqi crisis, but has also insisted that any military moves against Iraq should be based on international legitimacy and consensus.
How is this any different from France, Germany and Belgium? Answer: IT'S NOT!!!

New York Times Feb.5-"Turkish public opinion is running overwhelmingly against the country's involvement in a war with Iraq..."
Now, the Turkish military state will go along after all they just got the $16 Billion they wanted from the IMF. The US was on the verge of "cutting Turkey out of the military plans" as well.
My point stands: when does the US stop buying support from a weak "ally" like this. Don't forget-Turkey is 99.9 muslim. In the end, as before, the Turks will join their ideological fellows against the west.

The Turkish government voted 300 to 193 to allow US troops to stage on their soil. 60%! Most of the time we can't even get 60% of the House or the Senate to vote with Bush. You said it yourself. Turkey is highly Moslem. Even at that, they voted over 60% to go with the West. What the heck do you want?
