Shock at gay sex video for schools

Health and education bosses in the Midlands are promoting a video for schoolchildren which encourages gay sex. The controversial tape urges kids to explore their feelings with homosexual role-play games. Pupils can pick a variety of bizarre characters to play including a transvestite cabaret artist, a 62-year-old lesbian - and even a bisexual granny. The film, endorsed by Gloucestershire County Council, features a college student named Karl, who tells viewers that to obtain sexual satisfaction they should try experimenting with other boys and girls to see who you feel most comfortable with. Another clip in the 14-minute video asks the audience to discuss if another character, 15-year-old Michael, should have unprotected gay sex with his boyfriend. The video, titled Beyond a Phase: a Practical Guide to Challenging Homophobia in Schools, has been stocked in the library of the Cotswold and Vale Primary Care Trust. It is available to more than 180 schools and is aimed at children aged between 14 and 16. So far no school has taken the opportunity to show it to pupils but the Trust, and its partners Gloucestershire County Council, have been slammed for even stocking it. The Christian Institute says that the video is a potential breach of section 28 of the Local Government Act - which bans local authorities from promoting homosexuality in schools. Parliament is currently debating a repeal of the law. But the county council says it is not in breach of the clause, citing Department for Education and Skills (DfES) circular 1288, which gives teachers more flexibility in how they wish to educate their children on sex. Colin Hart, director of the Christian Institute, said: Parents will be shocked at Gloucestershires recommendation of Beyond a Phase. This extreme pack is completely inappropriate and should be removed from the recommended list. Most parents would be appalled to think their children were being encouraged to try gay sex or to be involved in homosexual role-play. Cotswold and Vale Primary Care Trust (CVPC) is in part-nership with the county council to promote sexual health services. Brenda Moody, CVPC health promotions officer, said the video was listed as a possible study aid for sex education in a resource pack published in 2001. Its in the resource list - a pack we produce for schools to let them know whats available for teachers, she added. It does not specifically recom-mend it - it just says its available. We always make it clear that its down to the individual schools as to what they should use in sex education. Sam Roffe, a spokeswoman for Gloucestershire County Council, said: The primary care trust and the county councils Local Education Authority work in partnership in promoting sex education in schools. Were unaware of any Gloucestershire schools using this video.

I took a few minutes to decipher that post, and I must say I agree with a lot of what you said.

These were the Classical liberals...founding fathers-PRINCIPLES---stable/SANE scientific reality/society---industrial progress...moral/social character-values(private/personal) GROWTH(limited NON-intrusive PC Govt/religion---schools)!

Where you and I diverge is on the Evolution/Communism thing. You seem to view Darwin and evolution as the beginning of the end for enlighted, moral civilization, while I think Marx, class struggle, and the "dictatorship of the proletariat" are the true dangers.
God bless you, I think we both have a common enemy in the BRAVE-NWO.

No joe, not America, the West. This story is from the UK. White culture is under assault from within all over the world. The self-haters amoung us want to bring an end to our civilization, through communism, atheism, homosexuality, abortion, whatever it take, as the man said. The very idea that any film remotely like this can get anywhere near to a middle school child in a school settiing shows how much ground the radical left has already gained.
The only path to victory is for right thinking white people to have more children, in order to have more political power. There is a reason Planned Parenthood leads the assualt on our values. They know full well that with fewer of us, we can be easily forced into submission.

This is such a shame. I know that most Brits are fundamentally conservative in nature, but this is just another example of them giving in to socialism and liberalism. What a pity. I'm glad I escaped!
To: Sir Gawain
Another clip in the 14-minute video asks the audience to discuss if another character, 15-year-old Michael, should have unprotected gay sex with his boyfriend. The "correct answer," of course, is that he should have gay sex with his gay friend, but be sure to use a condom.
To: Bon mots; Sir Gawain
I don't think it's America... sounds like the UK. It is the UK. Sir Gawain clverly put that fact at the bottom of the article before his reply #1. I first thought this article was from Massachusetts. Kennedy liberals there probably fill the school boards.
That said, it is good to see some opposition to the homosexual school agenda in the UK.

No. This is more like one of the numerous gay threads. Or another reason why public schools suck. Or another one of the numerous role of government threads.
The only reason why this approaches the level of an ID thread because the viewers of this um...tape were indoctrinees at a public school.

What blows my mind is the way in which the detractors' universe has been proscribed and limited to the selection of which level of state authority should have control of sexual grooming of children, rather than to preserve the natural repository of such authority: within the exclusive doman of the parent(s) or
individual(s).
Hard to deprogram these kinds of brainwashed termites.

The homofascist agenda is alive and well in American schools.Sort of depends on whereabouts in the US you're speaking about. I can't imagine this going over well in, say, Nebraska. But, I'm sure this wouldn't even cause a blip on the radar in the Bay area...

This is utterly revolting. It's also a story from Great Britain-- Gloucestershire.

You've committed a cardinal sin of this first degree, Gawain, surpassed only by weed-smoking Huh, Cathy(I know you hate that nickname, but what the hey, you are trying to cause trouble, so I reciprocate).
All I pointed out is that this article as posted was meant to implicate that this happened in the US.
It didn't, and I also pointed out that there are groups in the UK who are fighting the push of the homosexual agenda in their schools.
But you go ahead with your trying to misdirect the thread and make it a vanity all about you, Cathy.

Check out this site. A group of parents started a classical Christian school in which parents are considered the primary educators of their children:
http://www.stratfordcca.org/philosophy.php Their philosophy is a lot different than many public schools who believe that parents are too stupid to direct the education of their children in regards to morals or academic subjects.
We need more schools like this.

Anyway, so, are you going to start calling me a politician instead of Clintonian? Just curious Uh no, but any journalist or anybody who posts on FR is a politician at heart. They make thier views about how the world should be run known.
The problem comes in when personality or a side issue deflects from the main issue of a thread.
JMO, but your reply #22 was meant to distract from this thread(the homosexual agenda being pushed in UK schools and that there are groups in the UK taking on this onslaught, and that the poster of this tread, Sir Gawain, had an ulterior motive leaving out at the beginning of the thread, the country of origin of this article).

There is at least one newpaper in a major metropolitan area of the US, that uses "Mercury" as its moniker, The San Jose(CA) Mercury.

This is PROMOTING a lifestyle. If you are gay you are gay and that's that. But to tell kids to explore with the same sex? Nope...it's wrong.
