We do as we are called to do... silence costs your freedom - victory is achieved through actions.

Dear Bill.

This is not a "prophesy" regardless of how much you prayed about it. It's an argument for no reelecting Bush. God does not speak through logical arguments intended to intellectually persuade.

I certainly do hope that President Bush is re-elected in November as a Presidency under Kerry would not be good for the country at all!

Do you not think that with the popularity of Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" and the state of affairs of this country with the focus that is being placed on the sanctity of marriage and the attacks it is taking from the left; along with the blood that is on America's hands from ineffective leadership that God will withhold His judgment against this country?

The focus of the posting is a call to prayer and fasting to make sure that BUSH IS RE-ELECTED! The divisions in this country have to be healed, or America will fall just like the Greek and Roman Empires.

Gee thanks "God's prophet" for taking so much of your valuable time to smite us sinners today. I am curious if you could ask God a couple of questions next time he speaks to you.

1. Why would God fire President Bush, a man striving mightily to do his will, to replace him with Sen Kerry a man would would actively work to OPPOSE God's will?

2. Why did God direct you come to preach to the choir at Free Republic rather then to Democratic Underground to smite the evil Secular Humanists?

Really appreciate you taking up our time Voice of God. Thanks for sharing.

I am sad to say today that President Bush has failed in that special role God called him to play in leading this nation back to the God of the Bible. FOR THAT REASON, HE WILL NOT BE RE-ELECTED.

Well, I guess I don't have to vote on election day, then....

Alot of those things you spoke about require a larger majority in the senate to do. If he has that, anything is possible. He might even attack that third rail--social insecurity!!

You state that only God can allow a man to rise to Power. AND you also state that you believe in your Bible. Now, I may be no 'prophet' or theologian, but I seem to recall where SATAN offered Jesus Christ POWER over all the nations on Earth. Satan seemed to imply that power over nations was something he could offer, and also implies that God has little or no interest in who the rulers of Men might be. "Render unto Ceasar", and so forth. With these notions in mind, it becomes difficult to reconcile your 'prophecy' with spiritual reality. However, another thing becomes clear. There have been other men who have declared themselves 'prophets'. Mohammed. Joseph Smith. That fellow from the Branch Davidians, I forgot his name. Jim Jones. The 'Heaven's Gate' UFO Nutjob...literally.

Usama Bin Laden. He too believes he is God's Prophet.

All self-declared prophets, and all equally wrong. Now, I am not here to start a holy war. No man is perfect, and I think we all know that, like any man, George W Bush has made his share of gaffes. However, he is still far better than the alternative. Americans vote with their wallets, not their bibles. The economy is recovering nicely. Interest rates are down, and a weakened dollar has us poised to have a booming year for tourism and trade. By the time November rolls around, I believe we will see Bush's numbers grudgingly reported by the Media as a fifteen or more point lead.

When that happens, if it happens, will you think of yourself as the next Moses...or the next Mohammed?

First, a clarification - Bill Keller did not post this message on this discussion thread, I received the devotional from him, along with a press release statement that he wanted the message put out about calling Americans to 40 days of prayer and fasting starting May 1st, 2004.

Now speaking on Bill Keller's defense, I do not believe he considers himself a prophet to the degree that you name Jim Jones, the Branch Davidians, etc - there are always cults out there seeking to promote their own agendas. (Honestly, if I was to post some of the other devotionals that I have received, most of common day Americans would think Bill Keller was a lunatic for the way in which he thinks. He even comments that some issues are so inflamitory, he is bombarded with attack emails.) (Like Freepers don't know what that is like.) :^)

Personally, I'd like to see Congress turned upside down and shake out all of the intrenched liberals and replace them with upstanding people who believe in the original intent of the US Constitution! Maybe then this country would get back to it's Judeo-Christian foundation laid down by our fore fathers.

I am not a prophet or theologian myself, although I have read quite a bit on what will transpire at the end of this age - although I do not know the timing of such matters.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam originally received from God complete dominion and authority over the entire creation on earth. (Genesis 1:26) He also had dominion over Satan, but was "bribed" into a deal with Satan after Eve was seduced to sin. Now Satan legally holds the title deed to this world, a title and authority that was delivered to him by the original recipient, Adam. The same authority was offered to Jesus by Satan, for the small price or worship. (Luke 4:5-7) Jesus did not dispute Satan's claim that this world was delivered to his authority. Jesus did not even challenge his jurisdiction, but flatly refused Satan's offer, choosing obedience to God and the plan for his blood to be poured out as the atonement for sin. (Ephesians 1:4)

God gave man free choice, and God cannot change - sin is and always will be sin to Him. Only through the blood of Christ and his sacrificial death do we have forgiveness and grace. God lets people choose their course, only by prayer and intercession can the mind of God be changed - as it did when Nineveh was supposed to be destroyed as Jonah talks about.(Jonah 3:4-10)

"...WHILE I DO NOT CALL MYSELF A PROPHET, GOD SPEAKS THROUGH ME..."

He talkes to me a lot. Usually about my behavior, sometimes about problems, never about the world.

Good thing you aren't claiming to be a prophet. I still hold to the Old Testament test of 100%.

They'd stone false prophets, you know.

This nation is NOT a theocracy! The President is not the Pastor of the nation. This is incredible!

I am also very well aware that Pat Robertson has predicted President Bush will win in a landslide. The fact is, on November 9th, either Pat Robertson or Bill Keller will be wrong.

[snip]

The fact is, on November 9th God will give the people what they want.

Why do we need to wait an extra week? The general election will be on November 2, 2004.

This nation is NOT a theocracy! Every nation is a theocracy. God established all authority, and every nation will be accountable to Him for their actions.
