Mitt Romney mulls presidential run, can’t hide from the Mass. health mandate he signed into law

BOSTON — Republican Mitt Romney is finding it hard to avoid comparisons between the Massachusetts health insurance mandate he signed into law and the federal version enacted by President Barack Obama as he weighs another presidential run.

A federal judge struck down the Obama mandate last week, and appeals of that ruling and other court challenges are likely to wend their way to the Supreme Court during the next two years, legal experts say....

His time has expired, as has Obama’s with Health Care Laws. There was moment in the distant past when American could consider $pending on programs like this, but the curtain has been thrown back exposing the fracade of $aving$ and we are becoming educated as tax payers to the woes of more expenditures. He could have made his arugement in 2008 but 2012 this pillar on which to run, like Obama’s Greecian pillars are toppled as lies.

Why is he even wasting his time?

Well, Mittens perfected his hair-do, and his golf game is coming along nicely. What else is there to do other than permanently run for POTUS?

Sure, he could work on developing a cohesive set of principles and positions, but that would require effort and goodness knows, he wants to avoid breaking a sweat.

Can't risk messing up the hair, you know.

The left would love to see Mitt on the ticket.

We can't let them nominate our candidate this time. We need a conservative.

Mitt doesn't come close to fitting that description.

Goal? Like Rogich, Romney is an IMPOSTER (like Obama)
and supports fascism (HIS, like Obama)
and refuses to let citizens vote over his whim (like Obama).

pallis" Romney might have a role in Sarah’s administration"

Should every woman raped or assaulted forever serve under her attacker, too?
Should every murderer of a husband have access to
victim's family and wife when he deems it, too?

The backstabber Romney (hated by conservatives worldwide)
threw Elections 2008 and 2010, already, for his Obama.

In 2008, the McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts. in some polls, days prior to the election.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney once again
had his backstabbing TeamROMNEY
attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008 to the DNC.

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

I’m not a Romney backer.

However, it must be pointed out that when he was the Governer that the MA House and Senate were majority Democrat. THEY put together the MA health care program and even if Romney had vetoed the bill they would have overridden his veto with their votes.

I think the man is being wrongly blamed for the so-called “Romney Care”, because he couldn’t stop it.

GW Bush faced the same situation in the last two years of his Presidency, because the Democrat party controlled both the House and Senate and could overrule any veto he made.

Must be a terrible feeling to be Prez and know that you don’t have the power.

That depends on what you want. Let Myth know what you’d like and today he’ll agree with you. Tomorrow? Depends how the wind is blowing.

“THEY put together the MA health care program and even if Romney had vetoed the bill they would have overridden his veto with their votes.”

If he really opposed it, he should have vetoed it and made them override it. The fact that he didn’t speaks poorly of him.

This was Romney's in total.

Romney USED the citizens of Massachusetts (and NH)
for his little "experiments". He said so.

Gov. Romney, in another of his “hit and runs”
managed to even raise taxes on New Hampshire residents
while Gov. of Massachusetts.

He guessed passing MassCare would give him a leg up with independents who put McCain over the top in the primaries.

Guess again, Mitt.

Mitt needs to find a job. A non-political job, somewhere far away. Either that or to retire to a desert isle. Mr. Romney’s already cooked that political goose.

That spin is sooo 2007.

Romney has since defended the law on many occasions, promoted it as a better alternative to Obamacare, and refused to acknowledge its many problems.

So that dog doesn't hunt.

In my opinion there is no male Republican that has that all around accaptability factor including the celebrity factor, that can put forth a serious effort to become President. That male person has not yet appeared on the political scene. That leaves, like it or not, Sarah Palin. Think what you will of Sarah Palin, she is a lot smarter than the press would have you believe. Considering her access to the best adisors money can buy, she would make as good a President as anyone on the political horizon. She has celebrity, star power, a great following, she is a great speaker with much more political experience than Barry.

Her only weakness that I can see is she has principles and would not stoop to some of the political tricks employed by Obama and the Democrats, Pelosi Ried et al.

On the other gand she is a real person who has the interests of the country at heart, in my opinion she’s a winner. The female counterpart of Ronal Reagan.

Okay, but just so you know, when I say something like Romney might have a role in Sarah’s administration it isn’t because I am advocating that, it’s because I am insulting Romney. I’ve posted the same sort of thing about fifty times, every time I read some garbage about Romney having a place for Sarah.

“Should every woman raped or assaulted forever serve under her attacker, too?
Should every murderer of a husband have access to
victim’s family and wife when he deems it, too?”

Stranger things happen in politics every day. Besides, should Romney wind up in Sarah’s administration, this is a question you would have to ask her, not me.

“McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts. in some polls”

The sabotage of McCain’s campaign began before it started. As soon as Sarah started turning it around she was attacked from the inside. I don’t know which polls had McCain up 10 points, but it would be a good poll to ignore in the future.

I agree with everything you say. Of course, I wish she had two terms as governor as Reagan did—but so be it. I really prefer ex-governors who actually have executive experience. Can you imagine how much more destructive Obama would be if he knew how to manage? Thank our lucky stars he is as incompetent as he is—he has already set us on a path to become a socialist state.

On the Republican side, what governors have the name recognition and conservative credentials that Palin does?

Mitch Daniels? Hale Barbour? Huckabee? The rest of them are representatives and senators: Newt, Pence, Paul, Ryan?
They all have fatal flaws.

Newt already proved he can’t manage. Good brain, but he let the Dems trap him. In fact, he helped them set it. Ryan needs to become a governor first. Pence is a good man, but it’s too much of a jump from REP to POTUS. He should primary Richard Lugar.

Sarah is the frontrunner.
