Very well could be... I think for several reasons that he is. I know that he is a disgusting excuse for a man and that has nothing to do with his car crash and his paralysis. HE worked for carter and modull... I mean no more need be said.

I’m with you guys. Don’t know a thing about Herman Cain but your central theme is correct.

They are not going to be taken in twice. Believing someone can effectively change nearly intractable policies and procedures by having a regular American persona and non-ivy league degree is as ridiculous as if Obama could have done it because he was black.

Wanna bet he’d say, “Romney?”

Of course he would! So would Rove. So says Morning Joe and his crew, so says the Republican Establishment, so say most liberals. So Romney it will be, after all he’s supposed to be a money-magnet for the Wall St and banking crowd.

All Hail the Media pick for the Republican Caniodate of 2012! ... sort of like a repeat of 2008...

Which was a repeat of Dole in 1996...

Romney vs. Obama in 2012

But then the world will end that Dec so we won’t have to worry about it anymore.

Charles Krauthammer is an elitist snob. What college you attended takes precedence for him over everything else.

I expect him to endorse Obama over Palin in 2012. The sickness is that bad in his head.

Krauthammer is right. Mitchell is a for real, accomplished and able conservative who would be an inspired choice to head the ticket. He’s got none of Palin’s glamour, but a thousand times her ability, and an incredibly impressive track record.

Conservatives wake up, and stop being dazzled by a photogenic face. Look beyond the glamour and listen to how thin and scattered her argumentation is, and how little depth of intellect and learning she displays. She is a lightweight with no significant accomplishments, who bailed out way too early from elective office to make a killing in the private sector. There are signs all over the place that she lacks the temperament for an honest to god leadership position.

We cannot afford another failed presidency, and that’s exactly what Palin would deliver.

Sober conservatives should have no trouble recognizing the superior leader when comparing Palin and Mitchell. Hands down, Mitchell gets the nod.

“Instead of thumbing your nose at the majority of us for giving Governor Palin our unreserved support, how ‘bout you spend some time studying up on her record of public service and life history?”

Having concerns about her electability is “thumbing your nose at the majority of us”? How bizarre. It’s called “FreeRepublic”...you might focus on the “Free” part.

Don’t be so presumptuous as to think that someone who doesn’t think exactly like you hasn’t “studied up on her record”...I am quite aware of her life history and public service. I’m a supporter but not a worshipper.

You think and wish it were fear

Do you have your logic circuits unplugged or something? Tell me why the leftstream MSM would spend two years denigrating someone who they feel is a weak laughingstock of little consequence?

Plug those circuits in before you answer.

...they think she's the one who Obama could beat.

If that's so, then why haven't they been able to take their eyes off of her since she lost the 2008 election?

Go on. Explain to me why the lib/Dem/MSM hasn't given Palin a moment's rest since 2008, and why they've devoted countless hours trying to convince America that she's an un-educated backwoods hick, who "can see Alaska from my house!"?

Use a bit of logic here, friend.

If the lib/Dem/RINO/MSM establishment really thought that Sarah Palin was the one to beat, they'd be singing her praises - not trying to kill her with a thousand cuts. They'd be giving her the softball routine and writing little puff pieces about her. Mostly, though, they'd be ignoring her.

5/20/09 - “the key to Krauthammer’s appeal is the clarity of his opposition to Obama, which began soon after a December 2006 column in which he urged Obama to run for president and guaranteed that he would lose.”

The campaign began, and Krauthammer didn’t believe the hype. Where others were moved by Obama’s mass appeal, Krauthammer found his campaign “cultlike.” His broad statements of purpose made him a cipher on the specifics. The famous race speech was, Krauthammer’s headline declared, a “brilliant fraud.” His friendships with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers showed his “cynicism and ruthlessness.” http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0509/22743.html

I can’t believe it’s come to this. Apparently, we’re not even allowed to have a primary.

What THIS is about is YOU telling someone they’re “pushing the enemy line” because they expressed doubts about her electability.

You don't hear so good. I explained to you in a previous post that the "quitter" meme has been thoroughly debunked thousands of times on this website by hundreds of independent thinkers.

Pushing the "quitter" meme at this late date IS pushing the enemy line, and most people who frequent this website know it.

Now, perhaps you ought to take my earlier advice and get yourself up to speed on Governor Palin before accusing me of spouting "bullshit".

Well yes...Gov would be good too. We don’t have different opinionos of Gov Palin. I agree with you that she is by far the strongest, most principled and charismatic candidate we have thus far.
Yes, we would love to see her run and win but...and... as you said....the reality, TV and magazine items make us wince as well. We like her a lot. Believe me... so I guess where we disagree is me thinking she could not win and you thinking she can. We just need to have someone in the wings who can come out and blow the sox off everyone. We need fresh faces and new blood. Solid ideas which Sarah certainly has and backing OTHER than her/their own base.

Somebody around here has to be the voice of reality.

Geeez....all this "concern" around here is almost too much love to handle.
