Sarah Palin speaks and writes (and lives) conservative ideas, principles, concepts, and presents a conservative vision for the future of the USA, drawn from historical successes of those principles, and contrasted against the historical and current failures of opposing principles.
Simple people talk about people.

Superior people talk about ideas, principles, and concepts.

It seems to me, and as explained in my post, that Palin’s motive for stepping down was to protect the people of Alaska.
If she were making her decisions for the sake of personal gain, don’t you think she would have kept her private jet, and accepted a higher salary instead of refusing it?
Palin’s good fortune in the private sector was not her motive for stepping down. But to think she should have moved into the poorhouse right away seems rather pointless.
Moderates know that if conservatives stick together, they will nominate a conservative. Their only hope for Romney, Bush, Daniels, etc is to split conservative support. At first they thought Huckabee was the man, but he hasn’t gotten much traction and doesn’t seem to be anxious to play the game. So now we get these Herman Cain supporters showing up hoping to convince us to support a man who has never won an election. It’s not going to work.
