Trump's presidential hopes tarnished by African-American comments

His troubles with "the blondes" are well-documented, but now Donald Trump is in hot water with "the blacks" _ the cringe-worthy term he used this week to describe African-Americans, a segment of the population once warm to his potential run for U.S. president.

"I have a great relationship with the blacks," Trump said earlier this week in a radio interview.

He added that the overwhelming African-American support for U.S. President Barack Obama is "frightening." The remarks come on the heels of the mega-mouthed billionaire questioning whether Obama was born on U.S. soil.

Oops.

America's black community, in fact, recently viewed Trump favourably, an NBC poll found.

The survey was conducted, however, before Trump revealed himself to be one of the "birthers," the fringe group of Americans _ many of them Tea Party adherents _ who believe Obama is illegitimately serving as president because he wasn't born in the United States but in Kenya.

Trump, whose high-profile divorces from Ivana Trump and then Marla Maples hogged headlines in the 1990s, says he believes there "is a big possibility" Obama may have violated the Constitution since it prohibits anyone not born in the United States from serving as president.

"I want to see the birth certificate," Trump in an interview last week on NBC's "Today" show.

Officials in Hawaii have certified that Obama was born in that state, and many African-Americans consider suggestions to the contrary to be downright racist....

Mark Levin today thoroughly exposed Trump as no more than the garden-variety billionaire megalomaniac with a big mouth he’s always been. Levin played clip after clip of Trump’s idiotic statements over the last 3 years, such a “Bush Lied and should be impeached for Iraq”; how impressed he was with Pelosi and was puzzled why she wasn’t more aggressive in pursuing the Bush Impeachment; talked of how impressed he was with Obama in 2009 after being elected and thought he had the possibility of being the best president ever. Now he calls Obama the worst. Which he also said about “Dubya”. And Carter. In fact Trump had nothing good to say about Dubya at all. Every statement he made in unequivocal fashion back then he’s been equally unequivocal in recanting now. I suppose the psychiatric profession would wonder whether such behavior would be considered schizophrenic, or just merely delusional.

Levin also rattled off a list of Trump’s Political Donations, the lion’s share of his cash going to Democrats in far favorable proportions than to Republicans. Levin wondered where all the Trump contributions were to those named Rubio (Trump backed Crist); Paul; Johnson; Toomey; and Lee? Where in fact are Trump’s public statements showing his unqualified support for Scott Walker and the Republican Legislators in their ordeal in Wisconsin?? The ONLY claptrap we hear from Trump is about The Mysterious Case of the Birth Certificate of Barack Obama. Trump, ever the business opportunist, saw a way to exploit an opportunity for maximum exposure. And lest we forget, exposure - read: limelight - is extremely important to a megalomaniac like Trump. After all, the fool has his own TV Show. Limelight is an addiction extremely difficult to surrender willingly.

Donald Trump is no more a Conservative than is Bill Clinton. He glommed onto one issue, is riding it hard, early and often, so as to get his name in the papers, his mug on TV, and his voice on the radio. And what if a Certificate of Live Birth eventually shows up, even if it is doctored? If it succeeds in placating just enough people to wash it from their memory banks come Election Day - what is gained? What’s Trump’s ...”trump”...then? Something smells bad. Trump has a serious credibility problem, so far as Conservatism goes. It looks like we’ve got an attempt to separate the “birthers” from the Republican Party, which will only HELP Obama on Election Day. And I’m not convinced that’s not what his plan is, given his statements and contributions on record. Hopefully the Birth Certificate Kool Aid will run dry soon, so that Trump can be exposed for the complete fraud he is.

You see there is no rational explanation of why the term “the blacks” is objectionable. Ask them to explain and you’ll get a lot of foot shuffling and phoney indignation as if of course it’s unecessary to explain.

He can refer to “the” blacks, whites, Irish, etc. Who the hell cares? It’s the word “the”.

If Levin went after 0h0m0’s lack of eligiblity and the fact that his entire life is hidden the way he’s going after Trump, I’d have respect for him. Now finally someone however imperfect, is going after 0h0mo, and Levin’s trashing him.

If trump considered Carter, Bush and Obama to be lousy presidents, his views conform to those of many on here.

I don’t view Bush unfavorably except the medicare drug entitlement was fiscal insanity.

True true but it just really ticks me off how Democrats switched the story where today backs think Repubs are the racists and Democrats the savoirs. I was talking to a brother the other day and he was almost ready to kick my ass insisting Jimmy Carter made MLKs birthday a National holday! You know where they get this? From public schooling. The unions are completely and utterly run by liberals who have no qualms about changing history and nobody says shit anout it.

The word “blacks” is considered a “cringe-worthy” term these days? Hmmm. Oh Kay.

Trump is steadily imploding. That’s a good thing. I would hate to think he might be our candidate and if not then a viable third party candidate who could siphon off enough votes to disrupt the 2012 election.

Oh dog pile. Who in the whitey community can figure out how to address a population of the entitled without offending. Futile when they are of the hand out mentality. They will never, ever be persuaded by those who believe in self sufficiency That is why the lefties have such an easy time in herding them to their side.

The objection is over the word “the”. Apparently saying “the blacks” separates groups and draws a line between races, “them and us”, etc., like when Perot inadvertently said “you people” in a speech to the NAACP and was labeled racist.

The semantic hairsplitting here shows how scared “the libs” are of Trump... they’re ready to pounce on the first and subtlest reason to pull out the race card. Outside of using the apparently hatefilled word “the”, Trump was never racist. It’s eventually going to get so you can’t use the word “you” when speaking to a member of another race, without being called a racist segregationist.

He didn’t just consider them to be lousy presidents. He called each of them “the worst president in American history”. And he called Iraq the biggest disaster in American history.

The Donald has a propensity for making the greatest, all-time, most outrageously over-the-top statements in the history of the world, ever.

It’s more than a little silly listening to a grown man talk this way. It’s the all-time silliest thing ever in the history of the world.

It all depends on the meaning of the word “the”!

I guess that Trump forgot the memo from Black activists themselves when they changed their "approved" collective name from "Negro" to "Black", as a result of the activists' invention of the "Black is Beautiful" campaign to enhance their victim status and self-respect in the 1960s.

Doesn't matter to me. They can change it to "Supermen," as far as I'm concerned. They want to live in a fantasy world where they can feel good about themselves through physical intimidation? I don't have to play the game.

Beside the prescription drugs, Bush’s other blunders were:

1. Jumping on the Wall street bank bailout (TARP) which cost us $800 Billion.

2. Starting a war in Iraq which cost us 3000+ lives of America’s finest, plus $1.5 Trillion expense. And he was too dumb to get the money reimbursed from a country with world’s 2nd highest oil reserves estimated at $15 Trillion. And no WMD’s were found in Iraq.

3. Doing nothing to protect the borders, and actually favoring amnesty to illegals.

4.
