I’m sorry, but Mitt has as much authority to berate Obamacare as he does to berate Perry on immigration. In other words, zilch on both.
I can’t imagine Palin ever saying a bad word about an opponent
75% of the criminal illegals working at
Romney’s Sanctuary Homes agree with him.
********************************
Am I wrong in remembering that Romney had illegals caring for his yard?
Oop’s “Perry, for instance, said last year he had no(Why Ricardo ?) interest in passing a tough Arizona-style immigration law for his border state.....”
The 400 Million on the border???????????? Ricardo! How much is given to the border criminals????? 14 or more BILLION!! Am I close??
You’re right.
Perry does need to address his support for in-state tuition in Texas for ILLEGAL ALIIENS. He also needs to address why having a border fence across the southern border is a “idiotic” idea.
And, no, I am not a Romney supporter.
Now, let me say this about that ~ ROMNEY called them "immigrants", not "aliens" ~ but they are. You have to have an immigration visa to be an immigrant. Otherwise you are just a visitor.
He needs to get educated in the terminology of the immigration process as well as the terminology that relates to legitimate foreign visitors.
Otherwise he'll continue making the mistake of calling them "immigrants".
Perry? He thinks we'll accept some mumbling stuff about the 10th amendment.
Won't work Rick. We got your number.
It's the hair isn't it? These guys get those injections of proscar every day and imagine that makes them more manly ~ well, no, it just grows hair!
I don’t agree with Willard on much, but on this criticism he is exactly on point.
No open-borders nominee this time.
Jorge Bush and then Juan McCain is already two strikes.
With an overwhelming majority of Americans wanting something done on this issue, particularly with few jobs available to American citizens, cutting back on immigration is a winning issue.
If Perry won’t admit he has been wrong and specifically lay out his specific proposals for immigration, then he is not to be trusted on this issue.
Yes, Romney was caught more then once employing illegals to landscape his grounds at the same time he was adopting a harder position on the issue. LOL.
Perry is weak on the issue but ...so is Romney. For this attack to work you kind of need to be to Perry’s right in practice.
Perry answered that question about the Arizona law:
purpose. I do have some concerns with the law, and I dont believe it is necessarily the right approach for Texas, in part because of the new cause of action it provides against law enforcement. Having battled trial lawyers for decades, I am concerned about opening up the courthouse doors to additional lawsuits. But I strongly support the right of the citizens of Arizona, Texas, or any other state to pass laws to protect themselves. In fact, we joined in federal court with eight other states to help defend Arizona against the Obama administrations lawsuit.
Perry, Rick; Newt Gingrich (2010-11-15). Fed Up!: Our Fight to Save America from Washington (p. 161). Little, Brown and Company. Kindle PC Edition.
The argument is still legitimate, even if offered up by a hypocrite.
Good luck. Bachmann is the only one that fits that description that has been in double digits in the polls.
I don’t support either, but if I had to make a choice, I would go with Perry. We in Massachusetts have suffered enough at the hands of Romney. Imho, he’s more than weak.
At least Perry is for the Second Amendment.
Bachmann and Romney have had plenty of time to tangle so far, but nothing. Not a scratch.
You’re right and Romney will have to be very careful about illegal aliens working on the remodeling (adding 11,000 sq. feet or thereabout) to his La Jolla, CA beach house too.
Lots of illegal aliens employed in the building trade.
As for Perry, he has his own policy problems regarding illegal aliens.
Willard picked a target rich State,we have had a fill of the Governments bastardization of our culture down here, and any friend of the Border Criminals is NOT liked! starting with the Kennedy’s then the Bush’s and on down the line.
Oh sure, the argument is legitimate. But the reason Romney is making the argument is to blunt Perry’s rise in the polls and siphon off support for himself.
Since his record is no better I just don’t see voters dumping Perry over the issue when Romney delivers the attack. Not when Perry bests Romney on other issues of importance. Now if Bachmann were to wage the attack...possibly.
