Occupy Wall Street is not the Democrats' version of the Tea Party (You got that right, Sister!)
The Examiner ^ | October 10, 2011 | Marci Savage

One of the major concerns of the Occupy Wall Street Movement is being co-opted like the Tea Party was co-opted by the Republican Party and losing its political power. They claim to be making change in Congress, but all we have ended up with is a gridlocked Congress and no closer to solving the economic crisis.

Those in the Movement want to avoid the same pitfalls. Democrats have been favorable towards the Movement compared to Republicans.

“The message of the American people is that no longer will the recklessness of some on Wall Street cause massive joblessness on Main Street.” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi

"If you read the newspapers today, I, for one, am increasingly concerned about the growing mobs occupying Wall Street and the other cities across the country. And believe it or not, some in this town, have actually condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans.” House Majority Leader Eric Cantor

Mobs? With that type of language, I don’t think the Movement is the one pitting Americans against Americans. When they say the 99%, that means 99% of the people are welcome to join them if they choose. If they don’t, that’s alright too. It sounds like the Movement has hit a nerve with Mr. Cantor, which means he is part of the problems being identified by the Movement. When someone tries to demonize something in this manner it means that they have hit very close to home.

So where does the Movement go at this point? It is time to turn Passion into Political Power. Neither party will give them what they need to move forward because both parties are part of the problem. Formation of a third party takes time....

The TEA Party has been “co-opted” by the GOP? ROTFL!!! I wonder what planet this ditz is from? I don’t blame her for not listening to her comrades in the state run “media” but they are saying that it’s the other way around. The TEA Party has co-opted the GOP. Liberals never seem to be able to get their stories straight.

Flipping the House with a mid-term tidal wave win not seen since the 1930's is not making change?

There are about ten things wrong with this. The tea party movement intends to restore our Founders' original model of Constitutionally limited, fiscally prudent federal government. This involves making the tea party agenda the actual governing platform of the GOP, and putting the GOP in control of Congress and the White House. We are well on our way. What the leftists call "gridlock" we recognize as that temporary stop that inevitable occurs in the midst of reversing course.

Considering how hard Congress was working to make things worse with every bill they passed between 1/2009 and 1/2011, ending up with a gridlocked Congress is a considerable change for the better.

Pitiful.

As I see it:
This “occupy” movement was devised in the bowels of SEIU, Acorn and the other usual dark rooms - co-oercing vulnerable, mentally deficient, unemployed youths in the vanguard of a phony protest.

As the crowds increase in locations and volume, befuddled Democrats (Pelosi et.al) hope to move this mayhem of disapproval for capitalism into a groundswell of adoration for Obama & Dems.

It’s a work in progress - depending on the violence potential and twisted comparisons to the TEA movement.

Does he not realize this statement is exactly right and describes the msn vs Sarah perfectly? The left is again pitiful in their grasp of reality.
