Skip to comments.Video: Sarah Palin Slams Mitt Romney's Win in Florida
Posted on 01/31/2012 10:18:19 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet
Appearing on Fox News tonight, former half term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin slammed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney by claiming that he won the Florida with money and misleading ads (video below).
Palin lamented: I think that with $17 million purchasing some ads and some false narrative it was very, very difficult for Newt Gingrich and the other candidates to counter that bombardment of advertisements"
$17 million spent in one state, that purchased a lot of darts and arrows that were flown in one direction and then a lot of darts and arrows were flown back and you know a lot of that negativity sure didnt paint the party and the cause in very attractive colors. I think that hurts the electorate and ultimately diminishes the energy necessary to move forward in the general election.
Palin also expressed her continuing support for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich: As it stands obviously its Romney and Newt are closest to be the front-running candidate, and so I would continue to vote for whoever it is to allow the process, and at this point it looks like it still is Newt. You have to kind of continue to level the playing field with your vote.

Just read that Romney will begin getting secret service protection on Thursday. Is the fix in?
The story was by ABC news and the reason given is because his crowds are so large! No way.
What the hell does this mean? “and so I would continue to vote for whoever it is to allow the process” (from the segment below). Does she have a continuing problem forming complete sentences and full thoughts?
Inarticulate or not, if she will stand up for Newt we might be able to get rid of the pretty boy half-lib and possibly get rid of the mussie, commie, effeminate sob in our white house.
As it stands obviously its Romney and Newt are closest to be the front-running candidate, and so I would continue to vote for whoever it is to allow the process, and at this point it looks like it still is Newt. You have to kind of continue to level the playing field with your vote.
Good for her
Do they all get SS protection? Just Rombama? Where can I read more about it? (Thanks :)
And one more thing... to hell with Megan Kelly... she is all mouth, ears, teeth, hair and nothing in between.
Cain had it for a short time

So what. Obama will have a billion dollars to spend.
Is she going to complain the night of his re-election as well?
It’s seems to me her statement is stating the obvious - money helps win elections.
But somehow that didnt stop Newt from winning SC or Santorum winning Iowa.

Just what I’m looking for
Question! How many $17MM dollar state campaigns can Romney afford for 50 delegates? I just find it difficult to take him as a true believer in the ‘middle class’ working person. Of course it appears there is large support from the ‘coupon’ cutters.
Something that would blow Mitt right out of the water would be for Newt and Sarah to hold a joint news conference and announce they are officially teaming with Palin as Newt’s VP. For the remainder of the Primaries it would be all Newt/Sarah.
Ping for later viewing.

A lot because remember most of it was the CPACs. I remember we cheered the result of this Supreme Court decision. I am not sure that it turned out the way we had hoped. Obama is going to have 1 billion dollars on hand and as much CPAC money he wants. This is going to be the most expensive Presidency in history by far. Probably double or triple the last round.
You’d be able to hear the explosions in Manhattan, DC, Hollywood and Chicago all the way down here in Biloxi!!
If you have a problem understanding her, don't listen to her and save yourself some angst. When things are over your head, just leave them be. With your 'continuing problem' comment seems like YOU keep trying to get it but can't.
LOL! Did you ever think he was? He only wants their vote. He makes $10,000 bets at the drop of a hat. He said $380,000 is no big deal. There is nothing true about a liar/deceiver snake in the grass con man.
Yes, but she won’t take a VP spot again. I hope she eventually goes all in for Newt Gingrich and not just state by state, but state by state is also GOOD!
The TEA Party is for NEWT GINGRICH!!!
bless you Sarah Palin, you speak true words. You will be hit for it in the future—but what you say is true—Mittens bought Florida—with the help of the MSM and the GOP moderates. Its not over til the convention! Even then it will not be over! Say the word, Sarah, and a 3rd Party will spring to life like magic and pull down the corrupt GOP.
She also complained about the “response” negative ads, saying that the whole thing hurt the GOP. But at least, she’s still telling people not to give up, but to keep voting for whatever keeps the process moving. She doesn’t want Romney to be the presumptive nominee, that’s for sure.
Sarah has become like a rebellious teenager against her parents. I used to respect her but she is hurting her political career. I thought the idea was anybody but Obama. “A house divided can not stand”
Not this Tea Party member and financial supporter.
Wow. I read this and wonder. Romney is 'obama' light. Could you name for me just one thing that Romney intends to do to stop liberal destruction? The liberals are already campaigning against Romney with their 'occupy wall street' performance art. Sarah has NOT been 'bain-washed' by the antics of Romney's brand of politics. Liberals have set the table to clean his 1% clock.
A house ruled by a shadow government in Salt Lake City, I will not live in.

You echoed my response to Sarah's comments.
Romney has the money and establishment backing to get the nomination.
He has the same support McCain had: that of the Obama team.
As soon as Romney is the nominee, he is crowned Mr. One Per Cent.
It's all downhill from there--until Obama is re-elected.
Didn't Rush say today that when Obama is the lame duck, Saul Alinsky will be exhumed and enthroned.
And it's all fine with Romney.
He is the Rictus Sardonicus of the soulless.
We listen to the tapes of Romney pushing abortion--kill the baby, let the judge shove the objecting parent aside.
We see Romney pushing the radical gay agenda.
Romney pushing gun control.
Romney pushing the government forcing citizens to surrender to the death panels.
Romney now has the support of the ten thousand shrieking fairies and carping harpies of the media--
--and the morning after he is the nominee, he will be for them Mr. One Per Cent.
It will be Obama 55%; Romney 40%; Paul/Johnson 5%.
Thus will the Last Election enter the memory hole.
Or America could drop the Dancing With Fat Trannies soma-coma and grow a brain and a conscience and a soul.
Sarah ensures she gets as much relevant facts into an interview as she can. I love how she pointed out that Romney won with false attack ads after spending 17 million dollars and it is hard to unring that bell no matter how many people try to do so. I love how she pointed out that Romney has yet to win on issues! Not only that, but now he has created an extremely negative atmosphere which creates a huge problem for him in the general election.
Romney spent 17 million in Florida on lies to make 1/3 of the Republicans there hate him.
Wonder how that will work out for him if he makes it to the general election.
Your remarks about Sarah say more about you than anything else.
She is a veteran who’s been on the receving end of vicious lies, smears and attacks.
Flew right over your head, you poor dear.
The idea was never Romney.
What kind of Romney fantasy world do you live in?
I didn't hear Rush today, thank God. I understand that he went off the rails. He's not fooling me. He won't go completely against Romney, so he keeps Santorum in the race to thwart Newt Gingrich from beating Romney. Rush is more Establishment than he cares to let us know.
I will NOT vote for Romney, no matter his VP!
The so called ‘fiscal conservatives’ missed letting Romney get vetted on his claims of job creation. Liberals probably have ready to run news stories about people needing 99 weeks of unemployment due to Bain’s capital-ISM. I sure expect expose after expose on just what Bain capital accomplished. Romney does not have what it takes to take his costly ‘apprentice’ ‘your fired’ campaign into the general election. Maybe he can get on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and strut his stuff. Ann Coulter would make him a good dance partner.
You’re right. Talk about class warfare. It’s demoralizing that good candidates may ever see the light of day because of the almighty $$$ it takes to run. Especially when times are so hard for so many.
What is it with her? She is just odd, why would anyone put her on their show?
The SS protection is to keep him at bay. Nobody will be able to get close to him to ask him questions. It will be an interference to the other candidates.
The establishment has chosen the candidate. For years I thought someone else decided who was president. Then I fell for the Florida vote recount and got suckered back into the old “every vote counts” B.S. Now it’s being proven on a daily basis that someone selects the president. And it ain’t the voters.
Anyone want to borrow some of my tin foil?
She’s always to giddy. After I got used to the beauty it started to get creepy. I’m wondering if that face is put on everyday by technicians.
Their is not a dime worth of difference between Democrats and Republicans.
I’m generally a supporter of Gov. Palin, but she is totally out to lunch here. People shouldn’t vote in primaries for whomever will ‘allow the process to continue’ and to ‘level the playing field’. They should vote for whom they they think the is the best candidate and perhaps the best candidate with a chance to win.
That was George Wallace, not LBJ.
Have her ‘flown’ in...
Anybody? Well, that's the idea pushed by the party. As long as their offering is marginally better than Obama, then your choice is (supposedly) clear, vote for the lesser of two evils.
That system serves the interests of the politically-connected class as a whole, at the expense of those who have only the vote.
I agree with the rationale that you prefer, which is voting based on the candidate's stated governing principles, with an eye toward being able to persuade people to accept that package of policies. I think what Palin was trying to convey was to avoid a rush to conclusion based on the few primaries already conducted. If one candidate wins all the primaries, then the outcome of the process is clear, and people lose interest in the message - "the electable" one has been chosen. But we don;t have an environment where one candidate has won all the primaries.
I am not sure what she means by "level the playing field," unless that is a reference to an unfair or inaccurate public impression left by one or another of the campaigns. In this race, all that would boil down to as her caution against adopting Romney by dint of the media (and pundits, and openly purchased political ads) presentation. The presentation is lopsided, and it'll take time for that to sink in to a gullible and fickle public.
So telling people to ignore the anointing of Romney and vote for who THEY want is ruining her career? You certainly don't know Sarah Palin then.
And a house divided? Bunk. The GOP divided the house when it decided BEFORE THE PEOPLE who they wanted to be the candidate.
You can fall in line behind the big R all you want.
Not really. Because if you were to believe the MSM, Romney has already won, which makes all the primaries after Florida irrelevant, including (yes I'll say it) disenfranchising millions of voters. With Romney already chosen by the MSM and GOP, the process has come to a screeching halt.
Rage against the machine, and let the GOP know that WE THE PEOPLE pick candidates, not the MSM.
