I see people post this thought quite a bit. It infers that race relations were 'good' before Obmanation and it always leaves me confused.
While Obama is certainly a master at picking sides and the scab and he has brought race to the top the only way race relations were 'good' or improved or whatever is with The Black Caucus, The Hispanic Caucus, NAACP, LaRaza, Affirmative Action, African-American studies, 'Hate Crimes' 'white privilege' , thousands of race based political, lobbying and social organizations except white and a list that is longer than my arm.
Allow me to clarify. I would say race relations peaked probably in the ‘80s. It started sliding under our “first Black President”, the rapist from Arkansas, and by 2008 was tenuous (”Dubya blew up the dikes in New Orleans !”). Thanks to Zero (with a nice assist from his media allies, not to mention our favorite race-hustling groups the late, great Booker T. Washington warned us about well over a century ago), it has gone from tenuous to toxic. That the nation is one manufactured incident (Trayvon) away from Charles Manson’s race-war utopia should be credited to Zero’s magnificent leadership on fanning the flames of racism... (and not the White kind, either).
