President Barack Obama is ramping up a fresh phase of his re-election bid with a bus tour next week, focusing more on direct engagement with voters and less on ritzy fundraisers.
Obama's two-day road trip through Pennsylvania and Ohio, two key battleground states in the November election, kicks off July 5, a campaign official said. It will be the president's first bus tour of the 2012 campaign.
The bus trip also will coincide with the release of the monthly nationwide jobs report, a key economic indicator that could directly affect the president's re-election prospects...

Politicians do some weird **** when an election is coming up. They even grace “the little people” with their presence so we can kiss their feet.
He’d “connect” with below average Americans too but they don’t have any money to make political donations.
I’ve always wanted to take one of those tours. They say Jack Benny lived right across from George Burns and Groucho Marx just down the street. Lots of big mansions in Beverly Hills I hear.

...is this one of those things where the bus drives to the location then Obama arrives on Air Force 1, gets on the bus and drives to the rally?

If the bus was flaming, AND going over a huge cliff America would be in support!
My recollection is that on the last bus tour, Obama would fly from place to place and then hop on the bus near the final stop so that he could pop out of the bus a few minutes later and say “This bus tour has just been great!”
I’ll bet they’ve got them all shined up and waiting for him at the city limits to take him into town where the “average Americans” dwell.
I think that's the only kind of trip he takes. They may also airlift the bus!
He can never connect with the average person. BHO is so below average they (the average person) would have to drive a spike in their brains in order to lower themselves to his level.
I’m guessing that’s not a ticket on Greyhound.
