I Hope Mitt Romney Fails
RINOList.org ^ | July 16, 2012 | donjuanluis07

After the election of Barack Obama in 2008, Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves in January 2009 to announce his hope for the failure of Barack Obama's policies. He was very quick to make sure people understood he was not against Obama due to the color of his skin, but solely due to his policies.

In the same vein, I would like to announce a similar sentiment. I agree with Rush that Obama's polices should fail, and I hope they do. I also hope that the policies and philosophies of Mitt Romney fail as well.

I don't think it matters if Romney wins or loses.

Obama's not going to leave if he's defeated. He'll just simply refuse to step aside. Perhaps blame the Republicans for his defeat. Accuse the winner of being a "felon", claim that illegal tactics were used during the campaign or simply say he's staying because "It's the right thing to do. Too many Americans still suffer as a result of the previous administration. We just simply cannot afford to return to the Bush era"

Think about it. If Obama were to step down on Jan 20th 2013 (if he loses) it would be the first legal move he had made since becoming President almost 4 years ago.

This election is fast becoming not whether or not we vote for a conservative but whether or not we will continue to have the right to vote for a conservative or even participate in conservative speech.

May God save our Republic so that this nation will not perish from the Earth.

God and the Lottery Ticket

Your vote is too precious to spend it on Romney ....

In the 2008 U.S. presidential election, over 129 million votes were cast. It is likely that more than 65 million votes will be needed to win in 2012. In 2008, uninspiring non-Conservative John McQueeg didn't get even 60 million. To eradicate the community marxistoccupierorganizer from the oval office of 'We The People', every single vote to reach 65 million is precious.

>> The whole, Obama is going to take all of our rights line, has grown tiresome.

You’re a rat troll, so I guess anti-Obama rhetoric *has* grown tiresome to you.

It’s all too real to me. Obama absolutely does intend to diminish (= “take”) every single one of our constitutional rights. Name ONE constitutional right that he hasn’t trampled on already. Just ONE.

Obama must be stopped before he does any more damage.

Amen, brother. The “conservatives” here on FR who are suddenly born-again Mittbots ignore the truth that the U.S. is going over the cliff with either one of these traitors to liberty.

I heard Obama is paying bloggers to go on websites and write bashing Romney topics, how much did you get for those 14+ points for Obama’s re-election?

Rather than debate the argument provided, you prefer the "but he's our rascal" argument. You can have that rascal if you want him. But as your lack of debate portrays, there is no "conservative" argument for supporting Romney. There is an "anti-Obama" argument, and there is a "pro-GOP" argument. But there is no "conservative" rationale whatsoever for pulling the lever for Romney. So, a large number of us conservatives won't do it. It's our vote and we reserve it for candidates sharing more than a modicum of conservative values. A level of which Romney does not even aspire to reach. If the GOPe wants us at the prom, they should pick a better dance partner for us. If they do not, it's high time we picked a better school. I'm actually very impressed that so many here at FR haven't been fooled and are resisting the urge to make 2012 a John McCain election redux. Romney made his own bed; now he is lying in it. And I hope every conservative in the nation sees him for what he is. If folks are going to become part of the "progressive" problem by supporting Romney, they should at least do so with their eyes open.

However, he cannot do much more damage IF we keep the House and gain the Senate, which it looks like we will.

More damage that he obviously will do in a second term ....

1) nominate two more sotomayerkagan's to SCOTUS;

2) use his veto pen to prevent the repeal of 0bamacare and other marxist policies he put in place;

3) see #1 and #2.

Also on Twitter and Facebook. They are paid to mask as republicans and post anti-Romney articles. Not sure how they get the articles.

“However, O cannot do much more damage IF we keep the House and gain the Senate...”
Well, with O’s reelection we get a liberal supreme court for a generation that will approve of communism, and Obamacare will be implemented beyond repair.
And the ability to turn the tide on illegal immigration probably is at a turning point: we roll things back now, or never.
If we can’t turn the tide on immigration, we are going down a slippery slope like a wet mossy hill and we won’t be able to stop the slide as pandering to illegals will become required to get elected, and soon the electorate will be overwhelmingly redistributionist, and at that point it won’t be a matter of our candidate “is not conservative enough,” because we are going full communist, and the very property and $ that we own will be subject to redistribution.

Agreed. So after BO gets back in and tramples more of the Constitution can these ‘principled’ voters claim the mantle of victory? Not sure how when all they stand for would die right in front of them.

Dumb concept from the get go, just like the Palin prayer threads and the Ron Paul candidacy.
