Commentator Bill Kristol laughed off attempts of the "establishment" to "come to the rescue" of the Tea Party on Fox News last night. Kristol said that the "establishment" candidates lost the election, not the Tea Party.

"Blind sow" or has even an old school GOP-E elitist and party apologist like Kristol started to see the light?

Kristol is the GOP establishment. Why now the “attack” on his own people? I’m not buying this nor should anyone else. He, Karl Rove, and the rest of the establishment’s media wing have done nothing but contribute to the party’s electoral decline.

Thank you Bill.

And for those who have not been paying attention, Bill has never been a run-of-the-mill GOP-e member. He walks in the crowd, but more often than not, he has been hypercritical of the many boneheaded moves, and down right backstabbing, going on in the GOP toward the TEA party and social conervatives.

I call GOPe types “Uriah Heep republicans” after the manipulative, butt kissing, back stabbing, Dickens character.

Horsehockey. They bad mouthed all the Tea Party candidates just as much as Axelrod and his thugs did.

yeah, but we believe in forgiveness, right? As when “the party left Ronald Reagan”?

I don’t trust Turd-Blossom OR Kristol, but if he’s willing to use his public forum to say the right words, that’s fine. Just remember “talk is cheap” and they get paid for doing it, so they say whatever they think will serve their self-interest at the time.

The Republican Party is DEAD! Get over it. Re branding will accomplish nothing but delay the inevitable.

A third party based on Constitutional principles needs to start very soon. I know...., I know...., it will be a disaster for several years but I believe it is the only option to save the Republic.

Rebranding.

That is like the candidates who remake or reintroduce themselves during an election cycle — and still lose.

It is going to take more than ‘rebranding’ the same old stuff. The GOP’s problem is that they are trying to be Dem-lites and the voters are rejecting that.

“Kristol is the GOP establishment”

I refer to them as Vichy Republicans whose goals is to get the best deal they can for themselves from the dictator.

It's working.
The grassroots is bringing the republican "leaders" back to the conservative principles they were supposed to be representing. This is as it should be.

Despite Romney’s miserable positions on almost everything, he likely would have done an excellent job with the economy if nothing else. The fact that we rejected him in this economic climate may have gotten through to a few of the GOPe. We’ll see.

Ding-Ding-Ding! We have a winner! I have been saying this for years!

Think of it like this: you are at a restaurant and they are offering two legitimate plates - New York strip steak, hot mashed potatoes and cold beer (paid for by the "taxpayers') or half a hamburger steak, wilted salad and warm water (half-paid for by the "taxpayers" and you pay the rest)! Which one are you going to choose?

The GOP should be saying you can have any damn thing on the menu, but know that YOU will be paying for your own damn meal! You cannot out "gimme" the Dems! They have experience and complete denial of the real costs with which to beat the GOP - EVERY DAMN TIME!

The problem is that psychopaths and narcissists never admit they're wrong. It's why they're trial ballooning the likes of Christie and Jeb.

Would this be something like The Whigs “rebranding” themselves as “Longhairs” ???

Perhaps, or he might be trying to get his father to quit spinning in his grave. Kristol is wrong more often than he is right.

I saw Uriah Heep in Asbury Park, summer of ‘71. The opening act was Long John Baldry. Great show.

How ‘bout we re-brand them from Elephants to the Mules.

1. They are stupid and stubborn as all get out.
2. They won't budge for common sense and continue to do the same thing over and over.
3. They look almost like donkeys
