Ted Cruz will be president if Democrats listen to Elizabeth Warren, warns Republican
Salon ^ | October 25, 2013 | Alex Pareene

What’s that, Daily Beast? “How Ted Cruz Can Win in 2016″? Oh, you are still around, and still doing this sort of thing? That’s great. Let’s take the bait, I guess.

Our dutiful “hot take” artist today is David Frum, the famous apostate Republican who has dedicated the last few years to building a new Republican Party that is more moderate, more rational and less dedicated to taking dead-ender stands on cultural issues. He is not, in other words, the sort of Republican Ted Cruz appeals to.

Frum has devoted more words to Cruz’s savvy than to his worldview, but he has expressed a wish for the Tea Party to form a third party and “liberate Republicans from identification with the Sarah Palins and the Ted Cruzes who have done so much harm to their hopes over the past three election cycles.” Comparing Cruz to Palin and saying he hurts the ability of Republicans to win elections would seem to make a “how Cruz can win” piece unlikely, but Frum’s argument is not aimed at Republicans. And it’s not wishful thinking. It’s a dire warning of a dystopian future!

In this terrifyingly real scenario, the U.S. tips back into recession, Republicans win huge in 2014 and Democrats respond by getting more aggressively populist on economic and financial issues. These Democrats revolt against Hillary Clinton, and Obama’s moderation, and embrace, instead, Elizabeth Warren. Warren, slightly oddly, decides to run against Clinton, and the bruising primary fight divides and weakens the party....

Frum and whatever he thinks ain’t worth the expenditure of neurons to either read or comment on. He’s an utterly average wannabe journalist zero. If he moved up a few notches, he could maybe be a “back bencher”.

Events since the roll out of 0bamacare, including Demoncrats now running to delay or change this monstrosity, vindicate Cruz, Lee, and other Tea Party conservatives and validate what they tried to do weeks ago, while making McCain, other Rinos, and the Democrats, look like “McCan’t” and the real whackobirds: completely out of touch and step with the American people.

And people are starting to notice.

Mark my words: for as much as the GOPe bitched about what Cruz, Lee, and the House did, expect “me, too” ads next year from them.

The Tea Party has shown vision and leadership in this fight. No one else has even come close.

An amateurish and silly article - not much of any of it makes any logical sense - even seen from a liberal Republican point of view... This article is not worth reading or posting about ... This article is a college freshman piece done by someone that knows next to nothing about the core Conservatism of the Republican party ...

The DNC, the liberals, the MSM, the prgressives, the socialists, and the RINO establishment GOPers are scared to death of Cruz.

Good.

Ted Cruz would be so extrraordinarliy good for this nation and would work with the people of this country to set her back on her constitutional, and morally principled course. And that is precisely why those others fear him...they do not want that.

Really?

If he got his wish in my county the county Republican Party would loose about half of its central committee and more than half of its volunteers.

Elizabeth Warren has a very real chance to bury Hillary in 2016. She has most of the true believer communists in the demoncrat party supporting her and her policy positions.

She is a very real threat.

The Dems are not populist and have not been for several cycles. A case might be made that Clinton was, but the present crew is dictatorial and intent on ramming through their agenda BECAUSE it’s their agenda. Any populism involved is merely the first stage makeup that came to hand; they don’t even give the public face of the agenda too much thought, as far as I can see. Witness OsamaCare.
