Michael Steele: 'Lot Of Interest' In Eric Cantor Serving As RNC Chairman
Talking Points Memo ^ | June 14, 2014 | Sahil Kapur

Eric Cantor, next Republican National Committee chairman?

Former RNC chair Michael Steele thinks it's a possibility after the House majority leader was defeated Tuesday in a Virginia Republican primary.

"With the upcoming presidential election, there's a lot of interest in Eric Cantor serving as national chairman of the RNC," Steele said Saturday on MSNBC's "Up With Steve Kornacki."

"In fact I think he'd be interesting because he started dialogues on poverty and some other issues that were sort of outside of what Republicans have traditionally talked about. So he could bring a very interesting voice into that space," he said.

The way I see this either 1) the GOP is too damn dumb to realize they can’t win without conservatives or 2) they don’t care if they lose because they all work for the same globalists anyway.

I’ll take #2 for 2 billion, Alex

In light of the actions of the GOP determined to assist the Democrats, protect them from prosecution and attacking their base, It seems logical that anyone insisting on voting for them is as much a threat to America as they are.

And they should be treated accordingly. With open scorn.

If they’re that damn stupid, we need to say a final goodbye to the republicans.

Heck, just roll Arlen Specter’s casket up to the dais. That should be all it takes...

“’there’s a lot of interest in Eric Cantor serving as national chairman of the RNC,’ Steele said Saturday on MSNBC’s “Up With Steve Kornacki.””

In order to ensure Bush/Dole/Bush/McCain/Romney redux?

Another telling clue that the RNC is just another
branch of the DNC.

No, they get it gust fine. “we” don’t ‘get it’.

Some of us get it clearly. Most of us are still off in fantasy land believing that the GOP is still associated with Reagan.

They arent. And it is frustrating as hell to watch so many supposedly conservative people run to the polls time and again, lying to themselves and electing their problems.

It’s all about the pecking order; and they feel they need a new Pecker in Chief.

If this is the case, I must say that I do not see any change in the way I deal with correspondence coming from the RNC. Junk mail goes straight to the trash can and will continue to do so until these idiots get a clue.

” he started dialogues on poverty and some other issues that were sort of outside of what Republicans have traditionally talked about.”

Being completely out of step with what Republican voters want...Yeah, that’s the ticket. Cantor did so well with that in the primary.

Could these RNC drones be more pathetic?

“Cantor has long been known as one of the best fund-raisers in the country, and not just for himself.”

He’d actually be a great choice.

The RNC could select Dumbo as chairman, and it wouldn’t make a difference. Most people don’t listen to them.

Majority Leader Eric Cantor is infected with the cancer of BOEHNERISM.

An always present symptom of BOEHNERISM is that the infected Republican Politician ALWAYS Caves-In to whatever any Democrat Politician wants.

Replacing anyone in the US House Leadership who is terminally infected with the cancer of BOEHNERISM, in the words of President Ronald Reagan: “- - - wouldn’t make any sense at all.”
