Hollywood director and liberal activist Rob Reiner told talk-show host Larry King that the Tea Party is like the terrorist group Hamas, because apparently both groups are extreme and cannot be negotiated with, and the only solution is to make them go away or “eliminate” them.
“[Y]ou can’t negotiate with that, you have to say either Hamas goes away and the Palestinian authority takes over all that region and deal with some kind of honest broker here, and create the two-state solution,” said Reiner.
Drawing a parallel with the Tea Party, he said, “anytime you’re dealing with an extreme group, you cannot negotiate with them, and the way to do it is to eliminate it. With the Tea Party, you have to go through political thing, you have to wait till 2020 to redistrict, but that is really tough stuff.”

On the Aug. 14 edition of Politicking with Larry King, the host asked Reiner, “What’s to do about the Gaza situation, and Israel?”
Reiner said, “Well, there again, you’ve got a horrible situation where you have an extreme faction, the Hamas, that controls Gaza, that is written into their playbook, the destruction of Israel, the destruction of every Jew on the planet.”
“You can’t negotiate with that,” he said, “you have to say either Hamas goes away and the Palestinian authority takes over all that region and deal with some kind of honest broker here, and create the two-state solution.”
“The Palestinians turned down the ability to have their own state in 1948 when Israel was formed, so clearly, Hamas, and again, the virulent faction of a, really, uh, group can control everything,” said the Academy Award nominee.
Reiner continued, “You look at the Congress right now in the United States, you’ve got a strong Tea Party group controlling the whole country, because they have a gridlock, they have a gridlock, stranglehold on Boehner. Boehner can’t make a move, and so for that reason, nothing gets brought up in the Congress.”
“So anytime you’re dealing with an extreme group, you cannot negotiate with them, and they way to do it is to eliminate it,” said Reiner. “With the Tea Party, you have to go through a political thing, you have to wait till 2020 to redistrict, but, uh, that is really tough stuff.”
The U.S. State Department designated Hamas a terrorist organization in 1997. The Tea Party stands for Taxed Enough Already and sprang up from the American grassroots in 2010 largely in opposition to Obamacare, and has broadened to include issues such limited government, fewer government regulations, and adherence to the Constitution.
Reiner was nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award for the 1992 film, A Few Good Men. He gained national attention early on as an actor in All in the Family, and some of his more well-known movies include The Jerk, This is Spinal Tap, The Princess Bride, Sleepless in Seattle, The Bucket List, and The Wolf of Wall Street.
Reiner is a liberal and has been very outspoken on his political views for many years.

I agree with him that there is no negotiating with the left wing radicals. They are absolutely in the wrong directions so no compromise is possible.
For instance if someone wants to lead us over a cliff, there is no meeting in the middle.
And when they say well then what is your plan?

Yeah Meathead the only thing keeping ANY of your rights in place and the tyrants in check right now ARE the Tea Party. The Leftists are either incredibly stupid, evil, or naive, or all of the above.

I was debating this very thing on Facebook a few weeks about with Kathy McCarty, you may know her from the movie “Before Sunrise”, she did the music for that. She was going on about how the Tea party is a radical fringe group blah blah you name it, so I wrote her back and told her the Tea party is all about freedom. Then she wrote me back some other crap about oppression and the usual screams of birth control so I wrote her back “You are not reading what I wrote. The Tea party is all about FREEDOM. NOT having the government involved in every single aspect of your life. Not having them breathing down your back even when you donate and serve out food to the homeless LIKE I DO” I am still waiting to hear back from her.
And BTW, this happened again today: I volunteer for the Harry Chapins Lighthouse food bank here on Long Island where we feed the homeless, the poor and feed kids, my station is focusing on the kids and once again the “health inspectors” came around and were busting our balls, demanding we need a “licensed food server” even though all the food we serve is wrapped up tight in cellophane and cans which the kids hate. For example carrots in cans, tuna in cans, corn in cans all the stuff that can survive a 1000 years being that they are wrapped up in vacuum sealed cans. Oh yes, and then we have to make sure all the kids wash their hands and that we serve the CANS while wearing latex gloves. This is NOT about health, this is about CONTROL and STEALING money which people like this jackass Meathead and Kathy McCarty can’t get through their thick skulls. This is some really bad ass evil sh*t and it is truly borderline tyranny. I mean just imagine: Out of the goodness of peoples hearts they want to feed those who are hungry and the state comes and steals thousands of dollars in contributions. Just absolutely demon crap.
The take-home message of this story is that even hard core leftists, when the argument or situation suits them, will admit that islamic terrorism is bad. Their hypocrisy and level of cognitive disconnect could fill a textbook.

What a coincidence, because I liken Rob Reiner and other blind faith libs to Hamas.
OK, you have to wonder about the sanity of people like this. I mean, the Tea Party is made up of mostly people over 50, many are retired, travel about in their motors homes. some spend there days on their ocean fishing boats. Others like to spend there days with their grand children fishing, hiking and and outdoors activities.
Hamas are 15-47 year old men, many who have no jobs, no income, and they have no desire for women, girlfriends or waives (Liberals?) and they use children as human shields, advocate no rights for others who think differently than they do (Liberals?) and they kill other people because they have hatred and they liberaly take the lives of others (Liberals?)
So Rob, how can Hamas, who are clearly liberals, be like the Tea Party? In fact the Tea Party is much like the Israelites, whom the Hamas hates
I think that the Left has a more accurate view of the revolutionary potential of the Tea Party than most Tea Partiers themselves do.
When they say we are out to destroy America, they’re right, because what they mean by “America” is a distorted and deformed version of what the Founders created. We ARE out to destroy it. And when we do, we mean to bring down Pelosi, and Reid, and Boehner, and McConnell, and all the other traitors who have ruined our country.
They fear us, and they are right to fear us.

Read that slowly. Then consider the fact that progressives plan to exterminate us. Meathead isn’t going off the range here. He is repeating his conclusions and those of his fellow “liberals”.

I think the Meathead is a goofball.
We will simply live with such accusations leveled upon common Americans with no response (most likely), or we will finally become fed up with such slander and take up arms to put an end to the culture that allows such slander to continue unabated.
Unfortunately, I see the latter as the likely course as those who are being slandered are simply not prepare to stand up to these asshats as a matter of principle, which means matters will only continue to deteriorate and such slander will become “factual” to the majority of Americans.
