What is the point of Obama using our military against terrorists if it won’t help the Democrats to keep the Senate. We might as well bring our aircraft home before they accidentally hit an ISIS building that still has terrorists inside.

Yeah really! Only reason Obummer started bombing ISIS is because his poll numbers were falling every week.

I wonder what America’s most dangerous enemy will try next, since nothing has worked so far. Are we ready for the Ebola version of the border crisis, or does he have something else up his sleeve?

A GOP trend started in August, then sorta stalled out in Sept. Let’s hope the trend picks up again in Oct. If it does, we could be looking at a gain of 6-8 seats in the Senate and 10-12 in the House.

The late Harry Reasoner used to say he was a “middle American, born and raised in Iowa” (may not be exact words), but IA has become a hotbed of liberalism that is rarely curtailed for long. It’s must be the ethanol and the farm subsidies that propels the liberals there.

Right---its a tried and true Democrat remedy. The SOB's use military power as a genital spray to cover-up their stinking rears......imagine what a WH Hillary would do protect her rear.

====================================================

AS Freeper MACEMAN INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: then-pres Clinton inevitably pursued his own political advantage at the expense of American interests and national security.

On two occasions, Clinton used military action for the specific purpose of distracting the American public from the fallout of the Lewinsky affair:

On August 20, three days after Clinton finally admitted publicly to the Lewinsky affair, the news media was poised to focus on that day’s grand jury testimony by Monica Lewinsky. That same morning, Clinton personally went on national television to gravely announce his bombing of a Sudanese “chemical weapons factory,” and a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan. It was the first time most Americans ever heard the name of Osama bin Laden. The factory bombing in Sudan killed an innocent night watchman, but accomplished little else. It later was proven that the plant was making badly needed pharmaceuticals for people in that poverty-stricken part of the world, but no chemical weapons.

Several months later, the U.S. Center for Nonproliferation Studies, part of the Monterey Institute of International Studies, stated: "...the evidence indicates that the facility had no role whatsoever in chemical weapons development."

Kroll Associates, one of the world's most reputable investigative firms, also confirmed that there was no link in any way between the plant and any terrorist organization.

As for the Afghanistan bombing, it failed to do any damage at all to bin Laden or his organization. Clinton’s action was accurately characterized by George W. Bush when he said right after 9-11: "When I take action, I’m not going to fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt.

Clinton’s pointless and murderous military actions did not make Americans safer that day, although they did destroy an innocent life, and for all the good they did certainly could have been delayed in any case. But they did succeed in diverting media attention from Lewinsky’s grand jury testimony for a 24-hour news cycle, which was the main point. So I guess, they weren’t a total loss.

On December 16, 1998, on the eve of the scheduled House vote on his impeachment, Bill Clinton launched a surprise bombing attack on Baghdad. As justification for this exploit, he cited the urgent threat that Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction posed to America, and the need for immediate action. Almost immediately, the House Democrats held a caucus and emerged calling for a delay in the impeachment proceedings.

Leading by 6 points? HALLELUJAH! Good timing because I heard, from somewhere, that early voting has already begun in Iowa, but, I'm not so sure about that. Sounds a little early to me.

Iowa is one of only 2 states that has never elected a woman Governor or U.S. Senator. I'm thinking that the Ernst Campaign should play that up a bit with something like: "Be part of History; help elect the first Iowan woman, ever, to the U.S. Senate." I'm thinking that might "register" with some folks.

I am suspicious of any poll taken by a large circulation Iowa newspaper. Joni has been ahead everywhere except in lib towns like Iowa City.

Braley is best described by the editor of the Albia, Iowa newspaper; “...an elitist, condescending turd.”

(an exact quote.)

Joni's got the best political slogan on the map:

"I know how to castrate pigs. So send me to Congress."

I hear the DNC is asking their Senate candidates to join in a public-spirited "October surprise" (to get votes).......and volunteer to be castrated on live TV.

Des Moines Register employed a known socialist, Donald Kaul, for decades. A typical moron and appeaser/apologist for the democrats. One would normally think Iowa? A conservative, midwestern state. It ain’t!

Yes, early voting has begun in Iowa. The poll is to lull conservatives into complacency and motivate Democrats to get out and vote early. It’s what the Des Moines Register does.

I remember Don Kaul. He was fired at least twice by the Register back in the 70s. How he wormed himself back in is a puzzle since even the Register Liberals couldn't stand him.

However, what you say does not correlate with political reality. I've been active in politics, probably longer than you've been born, and since 1976 Conservatives have always been more motivated to vote (crawling over broken glass) than the Dems. That's why low voter turn-out always benefits Republican candidates. BUT, HAVING SAID THAT.... what you say might hold true, this go 'round, b/c the Dems realize they are in trouble and, the do have the best "ground game".
