Other members of the Senate fumed Saturday over objections by Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) that held up a $1.1 trillion omnibus bill meant to keep the government open. The objection was fueled by the two conservatives' desire to fight President Barack Obama's executive action on immigration.
The objections by Cruz and Lee mean that the Senate must slog through procedural votes Saturday on nominees and also vote to end a filibuster on the omnibus bill at 1 a.m. on Sunday.
It was too much for Democrats and even Republicans to bite their tongues over....

The article spells out the real danger, and it`s not Obozo nominees. The danger is to the already overloaded election process and the simple fact the illegal aliens will become registered Rats and vote next election. P!ss on the Obozo nominees, that`s small fry of the most trivial and inconsequential nature in comparison to the millions of illegals made solid Rat voters, and the millions more that will stampede in afterward!

The bill advances.
Cloture.
Now they have to vote on the bill itself.
Cruz takes the floor.
Says point of order is specifically against the President’s amnesty.
If you agree it is, vote yes. If not, vote no.
Reviews Constitution.
Says it is incumbent on this body to preserve Constitution.
Reid says Cruz is wrong, wrong, wrong.
Speaking now.
Reviews his view of the Constitution, says this is completely without merit.
Leahy says the point of order is “well-taken: and the roll will be called.
Roll call first first then vote.

Sounded like Alexander was a No. Wouldn’t surprise me if the GOPe played for Team Dem and Obama’s amnesty against Cruz.

God bless Ted Cruz.
May the others, with the exception of a few, ROT IN HELL.

Did Speaker Boehner betray those voters who voted for Republicans at midterms?
Boehner and others kept telling us over and over to vote for Republicans so that Republicans could fight and stop ObamaCare and Amnesty.
What happened?
To: EQAndyBuzz
The parties are different.
Dems have a core ideology and agenda.
GOPers bend with the wind and have bank accounts to fill. They are little more than high priced hookers at this point outside of a few patriots.

To: Protect the Bill of Rights
Point of order 22 aye, 74 no.
Fails.
Now vote on HR 83. Last vote tonight.
Reid says Senate will continue Monday morning.
This is now the vote on the omnibus bill, point of order has failed.
