Number seven, if we can keep Huckabee in the race all the way through, thus preventing McCain or Romney from gaining enough delegates to win the nomination, then maybe, just maybe a deadlocked convention might seek out another candidate.

Post 69 was just in general, but while I remember the strategy about Thompson, that 2008 thread sure looked like an endorsement.

I took it as an endorsement with hopes of something breaking loose to our benefit, although Thompson had dropped out, but also as you picking the lessor of three evils if nothing did break loose for Thompson.

No, false posts here. I got sucked in by ansel's insistence and searched for Jim's endorsement. My search found a Huckabee supporter website with a link to Jim's 2008 post. I was so gobsmacked that an "endorsement" existed that I didn't read through to the end of Jim's post.

I now remember Jim's post and vaguely remember endorsing the strategy of forcing the 2008 GOP nomination to a second ballot. Like Jim, I was a FRedhead back then.
