Well I guess John McCain wasn’t serious about the Presidency back in 08. He wasn't. I was at a rally in *Minneapolis* in 2008, which drew ...8,000 if I recall. The enthusiasm was electric.
Then the bank crisis hit and McCain flew to DC, and stopped campaigning. He refused -- over the advice of Palin -- to make a play for Michigan; and went around telling people while on state "You have no reason to fear an Obama Presidency."
And don't get me started about the American POWs left alive in Viet Nam, thanks to McCain and Kerry slamming the door on them.
