Walker at 0% in new national poll

Madison (WKOW) -- A new national poll shows Governor Scott Walker polling at 0 percent in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

The CNN/ORC poll released Sunday shows there were five candidates who received less than one percent of support from likely Republican voters. Walker was among them, joined by former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and former New York Governor George Pataki. Less than one percent equates to zero percent, statistically.

The results show Donald Trump is still the front-runner with 24 percent, but has lost ground from earlier in the month. However Carly Fiorina jumped to second place with 15 percent.

Another category Walker falters in is recognition. Walker has the second-worst polling numbers in name recognition. The poll shows 25 percent of likely Republican voters say they've never heard of him. All other candidates except for Ohio governor John Kasich were more recognizable to likely Republicans.

The poll began the day after the most recent Republican debate on CNN.

It's because he has the looks and mannerisms of a gay dude.

It's got nothing to do with his mainstream, Republican positions.

On the bright side, he can only go one way.
Up.

“It’s because he has the looks and mannerisms of a gay dude.”

That certainly doesn’t help when you’re running against a REAL MAN, such as Trump. He never had a chance.

“A new national poll shows Governor Scott Walker polling at 0 percent in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.”

Actually a BRILLIANT STRATEGY on his part. Lay low for a while the others tear themselves apart - then pounce.

So, mark my words, he WILL NOT go any lower - and if he doesn’t, I will be PROVEN RIGHT on this.

His immigration position sucks. That certainly hasn’t helped.

Well, you figure that there has to be a shake out at some point. With so many GOP candidates polling so low, something has got to give. If not during the fall, then Iowa and New Hampshire will perform their traditional roles of winnowing the field then.

I’d like to remind everyone that at this point in 2008, John McCain had suspended his campaign. He was at the bottom of the lineup and he had no money. Everything is going to change. I guarantee you it will be someone whom you least expect.

He couldn't make the transition to the national level, not going to either. He's made a difference in Wisconsin, no doubt about it. He needs to forget about this president stuff and go on back to Wisconsin and continue to follow through on his work - he needs to keep up the momentum on flushing the hard left and their nasty policies out of Wisconsin.

Many of the campaigns have tens and even hundreds of millions in the bank. That wasn’t true in 2008.

This is what you call an extremely low level of traction.

I think Walker is a good man!

He was like a gladiator when he faced down the union goons in Wisconsin.... it made me proud.

He is not, however, well suited to be president. That’s OK, there are many great men that are not suited to that office.

All the candidates that are running are flawed, we must choose the most conservative, flawed candidate that has a good chance of winning... that would be Trump..IMO.

If I could choose the next president myself I would not select Trump. I would select someone else..someone not even running.

If I had to select from those running I would select Cruz. But I do not think he can win the nomination, I do think Trump can and I hope he selects Cruz to run as VP.

My great fear is that somehow the GOPee will screw us over and manage to deny Trump the nomination even if he wins the primary elections in nearly all the states.

The sad part of this is that once Walker’s terms are up - I expect the DEMS to push hard for another D governor to overturn all the hard work that Governor Walker has done for the state. Not only the hard work, but the hassles and persecution he and his family have had to endure to get his policies through. I wish him all the best.

He’s crashed all the way down to Linsee Graham territory?

I suspect Walker is at least around 4 to 5% since this is a CNN poll.

(They don't return the money they’ve gained when they drop out...it stays in the “fund”)
