True,if you are a commie lover.Learn your history.
The climax came when McCarthy slandered an associate of the Armys chief counsel, Joseph Welch. Welch fixed McCarthy with a steady glare and declared evenly, Until this moment, Senator, I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? A stunned McCarthy listened as the packed audience exploded into cheers and applause.
McCarthys days as a political power were effectively over. A few weeks later, the Army hearings dribbled to a close with little fanfare and no charges were upheld against the Army by the committee. In December 1954, the Senate voted to censure McCarthy for his conduct. Three years later, having become a hopeless alcoholic, he died.
there aint nothin’ behind those eyes but stupid.
And he died having been right as history shows. Sometimes doing the right thing means doing so alone with your own ‘party’ attacking you.
I agree.
Besides sleepy sadsack from Esquire Tailrammer Chuck.
You can bet your last dollar that ted kennedy was on that list.
As if the "journalist" who wrote it would make a flattering reference about a conservative?
The US dodged a bullet when FDR selected Truman to be his VP in 1944. If he had selected Henry Wallace, the fate of Europe would have been much different. Wallace was a communist.
Does he work for Esquire or is that a gay part of his name?
Ted is all these things, but still only VP material.
Cool, thanks Norm
America forgot what being American means.
We’re Bible-thumpers, not Bible-bangers.

Making it obvious who the establishment goons hate and fear!
Cruz or lose! - (its never been more obvious than today)
.
I’m more of a bitter clinger.
The analysis is 100% correct, the anti-Cruz venom however is the usual sour grapes.
Yup, this was an easy win for Cruz, he didn’t have to go through a week of shutdown debate. The spinally challenged outed themselves posthaste.

>> “”Tail-Gunner Joe” McCarthy. Not a very flattering reference.” <<
.
I can’t imagine any senator that I would be more honored to be compared to than Joe McCarthy.
McCarthy was one of very few honorable and honest men to serve in the senate in the 20th century.

Do you feel at home here?
There are sites that would welcome your bizarre ideas.

In the mind of a blithering idiot, perhaps.

In the great empty barn of a feeble marxist mind.
