Why It’s Ridiculous To Report On Every Poll Coming Out Of New Hampshire
The Huffington Post's Huffpost Politics ^ | February 7, 2016 | Natalie Jackson, Senior polling editor

Pollsters have been busy in New Hampshire the last few days.

As of this post's publication, HuffPost Pollster's charts have added 15 polls of the New Hampshire primaries that were conducted after last Monday's Iowa caucuses -- nine of the Republican primary and six of the Democratic primary. If you include all of the daily tracking polls, which are only added to the charts every other day because of their overlapping dates, there have been 22 poll releases since Wednesday.

If that seems excessive or ridiculous, that's because it is. And there will be several more -- those numbers above will be out of date very quickly. Even as a professional poll follower and analyst, I understand this sentiment...

Polls are about manipulating opinion.

What if supporters of the gop candidate agreed to tell pollsters they were voting for the other side? If the polls started getting results of 80-20 in favor of the dem, it would make them meaningless.

It would be like blinding an enemy's satellites.

Some show him up, some show him down. I don’t think that the author really goes into that, which you’d know had you read the article rather than being flip.

They only hold elections to see how close the polls were. ;-)

Many of those have Cruz in second or third place, which is very good for New Hampshire! I’ll take it!

That and the fact that there’s no money in not polling.

It is really sad that you are so committed to a fraudster. Debbie is polling better than Teddy Bare!

Understanding that IA polls missed it all, still, EVERY poll has Trump over 30.

So, when Trump us ahead big, libs say, “oh you can’t trust polls.” Now, they may be right, but it sure is convenient.

Will we start seeing articles about how Hillary’s supposed “lead” against Trump might all be hogwash?

I listened to a radio program in New Hampshire that discussed the polls. They said that 90% of the people at this stage don’t answer the calls or participate. Of those who do, almost all are 65 yrs. or older, so there are really no polls that can give an accurate representation at this point.

Polls that give me results that I like are accurate.

The ones that don’t are worthless. /s

The 26% NH evangelicals being turned out with ground game may have been encouraged to duck pollsters. You’d think the DMR would take a stabat NH to salvage their utter IA failure.
