Progressives angry about the extensive amount of free, sympathetic coverage Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump gets on Fox News may have found an unlikely ally in former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
During Monday's episode of Fox & Friends, Gingrich took the hosts to task for giving Trump a massive platform to spread his views -- likely referring to the network's wall-to-wall coverage of his campaign as well as Fox & Friends' regularly scheduled Monday segments featuring Trump as a pundit, which ran from 2011 to 2015.
"This time the billionaire is spending the least amount of money and running away with this thing," co-host Brian Kilmeade said, according to Media Matters. It's going to make people... "
"Well, but that's because of you guys," Gingrich interjected....

He did not. I saw it live.
He made the case that the media were catering to Trump then Ducey pointed out that they reached out to ALL campaigns from day one.
ALL of them told them no to the interviews.
All except TRUMP.
He made himself available from day one and has never stopped.
Ducey flat-out said that they were willing to be available to ALL campaigns and Trump was the only one who took them up on the offer.
Problem is Media Maters, the sole source for this, is a know Left wing campaign operation. Back in the mid 2000s Hillary Clinton bragged about how she set up Media Matters.
I suspect Gingrich was making the point about News Media coverage of Trump in general and MM, in the habitual lying fashion, mis quoted it to push their Leftist Political agenda against Fox New.

He’s not jealous, he’s just being honest with them. The headline makes it sound like he’s being mean about it, but really he’s just calling them on their “how did this happen?” BS.
Newt isn’t one to just sit around and let people play dumb. Trump played FNC for fools and they took the bait like the hungry one-eyed guppies they are.
