Sounds VERY SUSPICIOUS. We all know that Cruz is ‘being tough’ on Illegals because Trump is one step away from taking that position to the White House.
So why would Rubio be the ONLY PERSON to really believe Cruz’s new position? I suspect Rubio and Cruz are now TEAMING UP, as they understand that fighting each other means that Trump waltzes to the nomination.

When this accusation is levied at Pubs who want to get rid of illegals, I wish one would point out the only publicized time an “illegal” was taken at the point of a gun and deported was under Bill Clinton and Janet Reno...

If Rubio makes this nomination a battle over immigration, then he prevents folks who might support him instead of Trump back off. Why? If the GOP-E wins the nomination with Rubio, they will wrongly take it as an endorsement by their voters of amnesty and open borders.

Marco Rubio could perform a valuable public service by changing his name to “Marco Amnesty Bush.” Even low-information voters would understand what he stood for.

So Rubio advocates NOT enforcing existing immigration law that requires ICE to detain anyone illegally in the US. Isn’t that tacit amnesty?
Those detained are not given bail rights, since it’s a civil crime, but are to be detained until a deportation hearing before an immigration judge.
Cruz has the position of enforcing the law.

Even Obama claims to be enforcing immigration law. His only problem, he claims, is that he doesn’t have enough ‘resources’, so he has to ‘prioritize’ and rounding up illegals is a low priority, so it gets cut out. That is EXACTLY his claim to the Courts...Obama has the EXACT same position as Cruz on enforcing immigration laws.
The BIG DIFFERENCE between Trump and Cruz/Obama/Rubio is that Trump is willing to list off his priorities...and he does it in a way that makes it clear that he means it.
