Underneath all of this conjured up bad news is the reality we have experienced since June of 2015. Trump isn’t giving up and will only be stronger as a result.

Amen. We are at war with an enemy that wants to take away our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech and our right to keep and bear arms. The Left has a horrible, sick, evil woman running to be leader of the free world. They are trying to assassinate her opponent. This is hand to hand combat with Satan’s forces. We must pray without ceasing for courage and steadfastness to “fight the goodnight with all our might,” as the old hymn says. We cannot win without God’shelp.
You're like me. I always forecast the worst thinking that will somehow diminish my disappointment should the worst happen. Of course, it never does. And when the worst doesn't happen, I wasted all that angst.
Had a friend who wrote goodbye letters to her family every time she boarded a plane, one of us. But I haven't found the fix for proactive worrying so I guess I'll barrel through. :-)
