The only time you'll see a regular season offense show up in the playoffs is if it stank, or a pitcher just choked hard. Playoffs are for defense.

looks like Lowe has an easy 1-2-3 inning - only 7 pitches, very economical.

Or ecumenical, for the especially devout Red Sox fan.

Yankees go down 1-2-3 in the 1st, which has happened in every game so far. BoSox up!

The Yankees of a few years ago were much more patient at the plate. This year there are so many sub-10 pitch innings against them, it's not even funny. If they don't make the pitcher work, he can go deeper into the game, making the bullpen less of a factor. I'm preparing myself mentally for the Sox to win the series. I haven't done that since 1996.

Many were calling Nomar - "Mr Hamm" last night. Somebody on the thread then labeled him

NOMORE Hitts

You're one of the few Bostonians who didn't call in sick today, I'd imagine.

Yeah Wrigley-Fenway would be a great Series, but really so long as the Cubs break their curse I don't care which AL team's corpse winds up in the lake.

Have y'all seen the TV ratings for these playoffs - off the charts! Even killed MNF last night.

There's a lot of romance in this year's playoffs, and drama. Good combination for ratings. Now if only that punk Pedro would be found dead in an alley with a bag of white powder it would be a perfect world.

Looks like I may be in front of my computer for a while. It was too wet today to get up on my roof and work on my antennae to try to get a picture on FOX.

This post-season has been very good for baseball, even the dust-ups the other night, it seems....

Yeah, it's kind of hard for me to call in sick because I'm the manager. Have to set the example and all that.

Looks like Nomar found a way to get on base...
