So you refuse to name any constitutional provision that you think the law violates?

Well, the judge is wrong on the first two items, so forgive me if I'm less than confident about his opinions on the latter two.

Besides, I saw him on the Big Story about a week ago, and he was CLUELESS about the case.

The judge is full of himself.

Michael's behavior

I've been thinking about that. I think Michael is a very controlling person, and may actually be getting something akin to sexual pleasure out of the power he has over Terri. I'll bet his current girlfriend is a very meek person who likes having someone control her life.

From interviews, the night Terri was found unconscious, Michael and her were having a big fight, so bad that one of her friends begged her not to go home after work. I'll bet Michael was already seeing this other woman.

FWIW, I believe that the burden of proof would tend to fall on those making the claim of unconstitutionality (is that a word?).

Are they just stupid?

No, they are liberals who consider Terri a useless eater, and want her off the planet,(it is overcrowded) and gee whiz, is she costing money from the taxpayers? This is the mindset, believe me. They don't think she has a good quality of life, so she should be "offed."

Got a few minutes before the opening pitch.

You're right. The presumption is that the law is constitutional.

Bloat filled ego bag, who refuses to back up his own arguments, hiding behind "you gotta pay me for that."

One good measure would be to require all end of life directives that specify removal of nutrition or hydration in case of PVS, or a party with authority to choose such, to be written. Most states do this. We can thank Jim King (fatso) for the fact that Florida doesn't.

Requiring a guardian ad litem be appointed by an unrelated party (IIRC, Florida has an office for that purpose) is IMHO more important. Requiring a written statement does little to protect against unscrupulous people, since such statements can easily be forged. Even requiring a notarized statement isn't bullet-proof if a judge is willing to accept as a "notarized statement" something whose seals look they came from a cracker box.

I'm not going to pay you. I'm giving my opinions here without anyone paying me.

And I do take your silence as an admission.

Batter up!

Well, in a few minutes anyway.

Looks like you're too cheap to pay someone to do legal research.

And (from what I gather) when she collapsed, he wasn't doing CPR, she was just lying there when the brother arrived.

He is an RT, HE would know better!

This "husband" has got to be taken out of this poor woman's life, the sooner the better! Yet another outrage!

All I really want to know, at the moment is whether the Shindlers are still forbidden from seeing Terri and what is her condition.

It made perfect sense to use an IV to stabalize her but at some point, soon she'll need nutrition as well as hydration.

If this hasn't happened yet it may be because of complications from the latest attempt on her life. She may need some kind of medical intervention that Schiavo is not allowing. If he is still guardian, he can do that.

Felos was talking about how she was in distress and goingto die.

Was this just wishfull thinking on his part or does he know something the outside world does not?

What's that "NO personal attacks" warning? Guess you've ignored that.
