Note to Idiots: You've gotten your way. And STILL the spotted owl is not just steadily, but rapidly declining.

**I don't know what the effect of massive fire would be over a fault line, do you?**

Well, the fires have been traveling over fault lines throughout SoCal since the fires began.

I have the Doom & Gloom brothers saying they are going to lose their home & jobs in Blue Jay.

Please someone verify nothing is burning in Twin Peaks / south of Blue Jay that would cause the fire to spread to Blue Jay / Lake Arrowhead Golf Course.

I am about to lose it completely and curl into a fetal position.

Yes, I know the fires have been traveling over fault lines all week. That is why I've been concerned. Do we know geophysically speaking what the effect would be having that much heat, that long, over fault lines? Has anyone addressed this or said anything that you are aware of?

There is a sad irony to all those who lost their homes. There are many poor people in LA/San Diego who are feeling kind of happy that all the rich people lost their multi-million dollar homes.

At least this was true during the Oakland/Berkeley hills fire. I assume the same feelings will be held by those who could not afford to live in the hills above LA/San Diego.

That being said, it's still just a little one. Didn't even feel it here in Burbank, about 20 miles away.

2.4 mi WNW of Simi Valley, CA 3.7 prelim

My wife said it felt pretty mild, which is what you'd expect for a 3.7. Of course it still tends to upset the dog and cats -- especially our one cat who is old enough to remember the Northridge quake. She went into hiding for two or three days after that one, and was obviously traumatized by it. To this day she spooks easily at any loud noise or heavy vibration.
