I'm not real sure what they're denying here, but I think it's just that they didn't reveal classified information.
Perhaps they're also saying that the link between al-qaeda and Iraq is not necessarily there.

I think all they said it was "raw intel" and not a refined product.

The only thing they are denying, is the Democrat's chance to use this information against Howard Dean. THAT is why it was leaked; If the Democrats dont stop Dean now, they never will. Then Dean will make McGovern look like a winner by comparison.
When Bush releases this information, it will be better sourced, and even more damaging to democrats then it would be against Dean today.

In the fwiw category, the Coalition will also find deployable, (For liberals: stuff that kills people), weapons systems which will contain chemical munitions (binary rockets, artillary shells etc.) in the next 4-5 months. If they haven't found them already.
Carl Levin, Rockerfellar, Schumer, Boxer, Kennedy, Dean, Kerry etc. all deserve to eat crow. Kinda like Garafalo had to.
Oh, btw, Osama bin Laden is still dead.

So this means that Limbacher at NewsMax was all wet when he said that CIA had released the memo in the article posted earlier this morning. I quit going to NewsMax months & months ago but I got suckered into clicking this morning. I gotta' wonder if his oars have ever even been wet.
Beyond that, I don't know what DoD is saying here other than qualifying the memo in substance but maybe not in minutiae.

Has anyone compiled the various articles we've had posted about the links and cooperation between Saddam Hussein's regime and Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups?

Talk about a verbose statement that really only means the following:
"Yeah, we gave them a bunch of info, but drew no conclusions from the info about a connection between Al Queda and Saddam. That is for the committee and others."
Essentially, they are not denying the information, just that the DOD indicated it proved any connection.
In other words people, the information is STILL ACCURATE....the memo contained ACCURATE INFORMATION OF APPARENT WORKING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN AL QUAEDA AND IRAQ.
