I'm at fault, too. Followed the troops in Iraq from the beginning of the war, and didn't pay enough attention to our troops in Afghanistan.
The DoD is making up for it. They've had some good articles lately. Check for a graphic link to Afghanistan-related news (which is temporarily ~ I hope ~ missing!) at defendamerica.mil. CENTCOM has links to Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan news.

Thanks for the links. Some of the better newslinks for that area are on pdf format too. Makes posting hard and it is old by the time we get it. Maybe some of us should ask the DOD for better updates out of the area.
