Holiday Care Package Drive and Rally for the Troops

Saturday, November 22nd, 12 noon - 3 PM, intersection of Stevens Creek and Winchester Blvds, San Jose (just across from Santana Row), Pro-America Spirit will join forces with Quality of Life from the Red Cross to sponsor another Holiday Care Package Drive and Rally for the Troops - the last Holiday Care Package Drive and Rally was such a success, we want to do it one more time before the Holidays begin! For a list of items to donate for the care packages, click here. Also, wave your American flag in pride! And, display your sign showing support for our troops. Let's boost the troops morale by sending them care packages for the Holidays and letting them know that there are plenty of us who really do care about them!

On a somber sidenote:

The person who initiated the first counter to the far-left appeaseniks in March has kept up this drive going and we appreciate her efforts as well as her husband Mark.

Yesterday they found out Mark has been diagnosed with brain cancer. He has posted under the screenname ProAmSpirit only a few times to post announcements of rallies so you wouldn't know him unless you've been to our rallies, but he's put in much effort to supporting our troops.

Obviously priorities have changed and they won't be able to put in their usual full attention to the cause.

Prayers would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am sorry for Mark and his family and will pray that God hold them close.Thankyou for telling us,sometimes I get carried away with piddley,no-matter things and then I read about a young man with a diagnosis like his and I am so ashamed of spending my time fretting over little stuff. I am Catholic,so I will give all this to Mary with a decade of the rosary,she will know what to do.

LORD we are asking You to Touch this man with Your Nail Scarred Hands and Heal him of this disease.

Take away his pain, fear and anxiety of the unknown.

Give to Mark Your: Strength, Grace, Comfort, Reassurance and Peace as he and his family comes to grips with this sudden life changing news.

Give to Mark's Doctors, Nurses and all Care Givers Your Wisdom and Discernment as how to Best Care for him.

Help all involved to make Good and Godly Decisions.

Just an amateur suggestion for a follow-up letter to the editor:

"Does the newpaper have a letter of protest on file from the 'useful idiot' protesting
the endless parade of military hardware and soldiers that was on display every
May 1st for decades? That is, the May Day Parade in Kremlin Sqare in the USSR?
Or the murdering of millions upon millions in the workers paradises of the
USSR and Communist China (ref: "The Black Book of Communism")?"

If you got something like that published in a newspaper in California...that would be a hoot.

Nice little rally today. I believe over $400 and plenty of goods for our troops were collected today.

Two green-type goobers show up half-way through the rally but were no match for us.

BTW, not only did the person who's letter to the editor was published come today, so did the husband of another woman who's letter to the editor was published.

We also got to witness a hit-and-run. The couple who's car was hit joined us for a while while waiting for the police.

It was a great opportunity to give the heavily traveled intersection a real visual of the support we're giving to our warriors everywhere in the world standing tall for our beloved country.

I especially enjoyed our twice around four corner march. It brought a fantastic response from the hundreds of vehicles traveling the intersection at the time.

Singing 'God Bless America' as a farewell to the days' activity was, as always, a beautiful moment.

Look forward to strengthening FReeper activity in Santa Clara Valley with you!!!

May He use our troops to smite (to kill or severely injure) those who hate our Christian culture, our common language, and the freedoms He alone granted to every American Citizen.
