Rush just used the word "schadenfreude." It's more evidence Rush is a lurker on here...

Actually, the word schadenfreude is not a new one. I learned it long ago, way before FR and the Simpsons existed.

This particular German word is in no way exclusive to FR . . . not that I doubt Rush lurks . . . just that his use of this word (which I refuse to even try to spell) doesn't reveal much of anything . . .

If we can help Rush (or any of the others) to express their ideas more eloquently (or more to the point, for that matter), then I consider that a public service, by God. :-) If they're lurking, it shows that they actually give a damn about what's going on out here, as opposed to the Nanny State overlords.

Rush just used the word "schadenfreude." It's more evidence Rush is a lurker on here...

It could also mean that he attended our church service yesterday - - the minister used and defined the expression. I'm not sure that Rush was traveling in Maryland yesterday though and I think I would have seen him. Maybe he joined the early service instead - - but no - - I think one of the people would have noticed him in his "No Boundaries" tie and said something.

I may not be the biggest Rush fan on this forum,
but I DO believe that if we want to retain him as a lurker,
the intellectual level of discussion has to be propped up a bit.
