Planned Parenthood will shut down 3 clinics Martinsville, Salem and New Castle sites have lost $135,000 in the past 22 months.

Citing rising costs and declining demand, Planned Parenthood of Greater Indiana will close three of its locations next month, a spokeswoman for the organization said Thursday.

"At this time, these three do not seem to be in the right location, and we need to be responsive to the community."

Danged morality improvement is putting us out of business.

"We believe this change is going to be a better investment of our resources," she said

In other words, they want to maximize profits for killing and sterilizing. The abortion centers closed is good news, but it's too bad they can't put their "resources" to better work, like helping people instead of killing them.

Too bad we can't choose to opt out of having our individual tax dollars sent to this organization. The abortion industry, like PBS and NPR can't make it on their own - some things just won't sell.

Which flys in the face of their "We do it to help women" statements. But when has PPH been anything but Oximoronic in it's statements.Paid Killers Anonymous would be an more apt name.

Great news!!! I was at a hospital nursury visiting my neice's newborn last night. After seeing those tiny little creatures in the incubators it struck me that some doctors actually partially birth babies this size and kill them with scissors, under the demented pretense of "a woman's right". How on God's earth did this ever come to pass?

Then hold on to your drawers, because under "a womans right" they plan to go much further.

Already they can demand every dime a divorced man makes as child support. Yet no major conservatives stand up to oppose the 'dadicide' that is going on.

Three observations:

1. Contact Jim Sedlak, creator of STOPP (Stop Planed Parenthood). He is now affiliated with American Life League and Judy Brown. He has been attacking Planned parenthood and its cornucopia of schemes to live large by separating overburdened taxpayers from their money. He has a wealth of research and suggestions on how to fight Planned Barrenhood and its money schemes.

2. The sad news: Planned Barrenhood's profits have declined and forced consolidations becausa Planned Barrenhood and its baby-killing allies have killed many of the girls who would have been their customers in this generation. Some girls aborted in 1975 might have had four abortions each by now.

3. This is not going to be the end of Planned Barrenhood in Indiana or anywhere else. We will be dealing with them until one of the following: Direct divine intervention; Rediscvery of the meaning of the English language of the Constitution by our sorry excuses for courts; a Nuremburg style intervention in which these SOBs are strung up for crimes against humanity (abortion was so defined at Nuremburg in the case of two doctors convicted of crimes against humanity b for abortions in service to Margaret Sanger's beloved Nazis).

Birth control pills through the mail???? I think a licensing agency would have a problem with this practice.

Most prescriptions are available by mail these days, especially if an insurance company is paying and it's an ongoing usage.

I don't see why birth control pills would be different, as long as it's a legitimate prescription ... which of course you'd have to wonder with PP ...

You have to monitor blood pressure among other things with BCPs. In addition, those who are on BCPs are usually sexually active. Regular checkups catch STDs early and prevent future infertility. I have a gut level aversion to passing out drugs like candy and without periodic physician contact.

I guess I'm just an old fashioned nurse who believes in quality patient care. The more I read on this site the more I am surprised this is no longer the general rule of healthcare. It's all about making money and pleasing insurance companies.

Dear CoD,

The purpose of mail order pharmaceuticals is not to eliminate physician contact but rather to reduce the cost of providing medications. Thus, one must still see one's doctor from time to time, to renew the prescription, to discuss how things are going with the medicine, etc., but the cost of filling the prescription is reduced by handling via mail order. This is true mainly for long-term prescriptions.

There are several companies running these sorts of businesses. Some of them focus strictly on reducing the costs of operation, to pass along to their clients (usually health care plan insurance companies or large organizations with their own in-house health care plans). Others have attempted to "add value" by developing expertise in the management of long-term illnesses, such as diabetes. These companies try to work with patients to ameliorate their illnesses as much as possible.
