‘Al Qaeda vows back-breaking strike’
The Indian EXPRESS ^ | DECEMBER 26

Posted on 12/27/2003 12:27:02 PM PST by Mossad1967

A London-based Arab magazine said on Friday that Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has vowed to launch a ‘‘back-breaking attack’’ on the US by February, confirming an earlier message by the militant network. The weekly al-Majalla said it received an e-mail from Abu Mohammed al-Ablaj, a little known Al Qaeda member, saying bin Laden would release a video tape in which he affirms his group’s determination to fight the US.

‘‘A messenger of bin Laden informed him (Ablaj) that the Al Qaeda leader will appear on a televised tape after the execution of an operation which bin Laden described as back-breaking and which would change the order of things,’’ al-Majalla said in a report in its latest edition.

‘‘They (Americans) should prepare...their coffins, hospitals and graves. The coming days will be full of surprises and great events which will make them a historic example,’’ the magazine quoted Ablaj as saying. The report came after US officials ordered their colour-coded alert system raised to orange, the second highest level, citing possible year-end attacks.

"You're a plant, right? You can't be for real!"

"Plant?"

Yeah, like a bored FReeper that just wants to stir up a little excitement and make things interesting on a slow news day.

Not that any of y'all would do such a thing, mind you.

Could you please tone down on the anti-Islamic rhetoric? Only a minute percentage of us are "terrorists."

Tell the terorists hihjacking your religion to tone it down, not us in response to their rhetoric. Where have you been?

Someone as vain as Osama would let CNN know he was alive. How hard can it be to get todays "Dawn" or "International Herald Tribune"? No, I wont fall into the mystical, mythical, and magical awe of someone who is rotting under a mountain..

It's called deterrence, and it is what kept us from receiving or using nukes during the cold war. The thing with deterrence is, you have to threaten something the other side cares about. What do the terrorists care about? Not any particular city or millions of lives or an industry. They are apocalyptic madmen.

The only thing they do care about is Mecca. So, we use that. They understand that we are not going to chase around after the bad guy if someone nukes New York. We can't play that game--lose NY, fart around in Western Pakistan looking around for some terrorists. Lose DC, go after Iran. Lose LA, hell, now we're pissed, we're going to send an army to Yemen. No, we don't have enough troops to go all over the world hunting these people down. What we do have is an armed force we can concentrate in 2 or 3 places at a time, AND one helluva set of missiles, unused and rarin' to go.

The goal with all deterrence plans is to threaten and be credible about it so that you never have to use your force. BUT....if the worst happens, and these idiots decide to do something that inflicts heavy damage on an American city? Then I say, the prelude is started, now it's time for the main event. First thing, take out Mecca (give em a few hours to clear out if you want, there are only a few thousand people living there during the off season). Accomplish 2 things:

1. Show the JF'nKerryers that we are f'n serious; and
2. Show the Muslims that their God ain't as powerful as the US military. Ask them if a God would have allowed the incineration of his most holy asteroid.

Sure there will be rage when that happens. So what? We just lost Freakin' New York, remember? Most of these people will stay out of the fight, not wanting to die. The ones who do fight are the ones we want to kill anyway. Maybe some of these people will see the error of their ways, and look for a belief system that does not preach forced conversion and jihad. Those that don't will have to look for a way to reform their religion into something less threatening to civilization.

Nazism was partly a religion (an attempt to resurrect the pagan Norse gods) and partly a political system. We had no problems stamping it off the face of the earth. Communism was and remains a religion as well as a political system. (The belief that there is no God is a religious belief, and the faith in a dialectic is about as faith-based as Christianity.) We had no problem with a policy whose goal was to eliminate Communism, and we would have treated it like Nazism if we ever got into a hot war with it.

So this Islamofascism, this attempt to impose 7th century Arab sand people culture on other humans and call it a religious system, should be treated no different. It needs to be bottled up and civilized, or eliminated. Personally, I prefer eliminated, for just as we don't want to reform Nazism or Communism, I don't think we should attempt to have a softened Islam. The original is always there lurking, ready to reassert itself. Better it be stamped out altogether.

Sorry if you disagree. This is war, and we didn't start it, and personally, I think most Muslims are nice and don't want this war either, and I hope it doesn't come to any of these extreme events, but if they take out a major American city......all bets are off.

"Say to the infidels: If they desist from their unbelief, what is now past shall be forgiven them; but if they return to it, they have already before them the doom of the ancients! Fight then against them till strife be at an end, and the religion be all of it Allah's. If they desist, verily Allah beholdeth what they do." (8:39,40)

Sorry, maybe I should have been more plain in my first
post to you. You apparently didn't understand what I said.

So let me try again.

When I said, "Go take a flying leap", the point I was
actually trying to get across was, "Eat shit and die".
Perhaps that will be plain enough for even a mental
midget like you to understand. If not, I can try again.

Could you please tone down on the anti-Islamic rhetoric? Only a minute percentage of us are "terrorists."

Then convince your bretheren to

  1. Stop being silent when America is struck by terrorists
  2. Start actively condemning youur terrorist kin
  3. Start convincing your Imams to not say that killing civilians and innocents is okay, because ALL "infidels" are enemy combatants
  4. Stop supporting Palestinians, who at this time really don't even deserve a country whatsoever
  5. Renounce the components of the Q'uran that say "infidels" must die, and that conversion to Islam by the sword is okay.
Start there and we might THINK of admitting you to the world community. Otherwise, World War III -- Islam versus everything else -- is an eventuality.
