>>"Findled" has a suspicious, bureaucratic, underhanded sound

That's one usage. As in "Do not foal, findle or futilate." (Pardon my French.)

It is also findling to handle something with fingertips, e.g., picking lice out of dictator heads calls for findling.

Hunt-and-peck typing.

Ear hygiene.

Etc.

Happy New Year!

My first guess is Iran.

The problem with it being Iraq is that the cargo left port in September, probably, so it's hard for me to believe they came directly from there. I can't think of a Gulf port country that was friendly enough with Iraq to have taken that equipment before the war, either, but who knows in that part of the world. Could Saddam have sent them to Iran or Saudi Arabia?

There was no indication in the article of where the centrifuges were originally made. That's an interesting question, too.

Viel Glück im neuen Jahr und einen Guten Rutsch!

I've noticed that in all the websites in Germany that I've looked at, "Spiegel" is the only one running this story.

Also, have you been following the story about the lock down on the Hamburg Army hospital because of Islamic terroist threats? Nockemann is getting hammered by the SPD / Greens for making the threat public, while security experts and the Union are defending him?

Doesn't look like Gerhard and the Greens want the word getting out that the Islamis don't mind killing Germans, either. 3 days running as the top news story is unusual AFAIC.

Wuensche dir das selbe.. und moege 2004 das gesundeste und erfolgreichste sein das du je gehabt hast.

Yeah, all that noise is kind of strange. Haven't really been following it that closely due to the holidays and stuff going on at work.

I did read somewhere that the equipment came out of pakistan which would make sense...

Just wait til Bild "REALLY" put's it on the frontpage and asks the hard questions... Stir the average Bild reader and the SPD knows they are in deep doo doo... Well, they are already... !!!!!

It's just not PC to call out the Muslims etc. but if there really was a plot or should god forbid a Bomb go off then Schroeder will be gone in days...
