I suggest a google search for "Psychological operations in guerilla warfare." I'm not sure of the authenticity of the article (claims to be produced by the CIA and distrubuted to the Contras in Nicaragua), but who ever wrote it had an excellent understanding of revolution, guerilla tactics, ect.

Thanks for your kindness and nice sentiments.
In fact, you can't find any pro-western people these days in Middle East but we, Iranians, would like to say that WE HAVE LOVED YOU SINCE YOU HELPED US during our constitutional battles in 19th century.
I know that an American teacher died in those battles while fighting along side his Iranian friends there and his grave is respected now for many people in the city of Tabriz, north west of Iran.
Btw, the name of the place you were talking about is Persepolis.
Yes, the late Shah of Iran held a great ceremony in 1971 there to show how Iran is great.

Khashayar, sorry to be so long to reply (to your #47 post in this thread) I was away yesterday and last night (east coast of USA here).

I agree, the names sound strange.

May God bless the people of Iran and help them overthrow the MULLAHCRACY!! (Great term!)

I did not realize that ethnic Persians were only 51% of the population of the country. Is there a difference in the support for the mullahcracy between the different ethnic groups?

The Shiek in the WWF was an Italian named Marty Mariscano from NY. He adventually got kicked out of the WWF over a drug bust.

It would be nice if we could somehow show the American public that some . . . being an optimist, I would hope to be able to say "most" . . . of the Middle Eastern public actually appreciate what President Bush and the American military folks are doing in your part of the world.

You said in an earlier post that I could help you by voting for President Bush. I intend to do that but if you've been at Free Republic long you know how our liberal media jackasses have always been against it . . . and their slow but steady and relentless anti-war, anti-American, anti-anything conservative agenda is starting to change the public view.

I'm sure you're probably too young to remember or even know about how our involvement in Vietnam came to be undermined by our media . . . but it started then just as the anti-Middle East agenda is starting now. But we have a big counter-weight now . . . the internet and websites like Free Republic. Then we only had the three major TV networks and them and all the major print media were, as they still are, liberal to the core.

It helps having someone like yourself . . . someone who is in the middle of the fray . . . telling us the truth about what is going on in the area.

Your courage is inspiring. You keep reporting and we'll keep passing on the truth. Good things happen to good people . . . keep the faith and you'll have your freedom.
