As in previous years, Animal People magazine has published financial information for 136 animal charities, based on analysis of the groups' IRS reports for FY 2002.

Below are the figures for several leading animal rights groups that are working to end hunting, fishing and trapping in America, as presented in Animal People. In parenthesis are the budgets for the immediate past years.

The budgets for most of the groups stayed level or dipped somewhat, but People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) budget grew from $13.5 million to $16.4 million in 2002. The Humane Society of the United States had an even bigger increase in its budget, from $58.8 million to $67 million.

The Animal People report indicates that PETA and Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) should be considered as a single fundraising unit because of its joint partnership in Foundation to Support Animal Protection. Here are the numbers for the three entities:

Know your enemies. Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) is a name to remember. IIRC, the head of PCRM is married to the head of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk. I must confess that I don't care for trapping. It reminds me of landmines. As an issue in the media, it's a looser.

Sport hunting of any kind should be banned there is no reason for it none...

Some animals that are for eating should be put down very humanely, and animal research is not needed for the most part but if it is it should not have the animal suffering.

Animals for coats and shoes are barbaric there are plenty of beautiful synthetic or wool coasts Mink is just a status symbol.

Fishing for fish well that is hard, I guess fishing is okay but not Marlin, Dolphin, Whale, Seal.

Shooting birds when there flying in the air also should be banned no need for it...

As I consider what you have written, I hope you remember this post the next time you hit a deer.

A couple of years ago there was a soccor tournament. A family from out of town was traveling between events. They hit a deer on the bypass around town. It went through the windshield, killed the driver (Dad), and the head came off and landed on the kids in the back seat. We could have used a hunter that day.

Why can't you just catch them and move them somewhere else, and you are right no Beavers in San Diego but if I had any I would put them in a place where they could build there dams they serve a purpose in life...

These are the "doctors" who testify against the Adkins Diet. Real reason, the Adkins Diet is high in animal protein.

Why are you against trapping?

I said it reminds me of landmines. A friend of mine lost his leg in Viet-Nam by one, and we used them plenty in automatic(mechanical) ambushes. Now in Iraq we have improvized explosive devices(IED) taking plenty of our casualties. This is not stand up fighting or killing food to eat. When the media gets on it, it's a looser, forget about the economics.

No that is a horrible tragic story, but animals killing people are far less than people killing people in vehicular accidents,Animals are being driven out of there homes by human beings, what are they to do? If we have to many in the wild than Catch him move them where they can roam free or last result euthanize them so they will not suffer.
