It's a bitter subject for a lot of people. Of course there are two sides to ever story, there really are deadbeat dads out there, not all of them were created by bad judges giving stupid payoffs.
IMHO they used the wrong solution to a legit problem. The big problem was that ex-spouses had no real method to persue a deadbeat, if they'd just declared child support to be a bill like any other and persuable thorugh similar means (ie collection agencies just like the electric company) that would have fixed the situation. Instead they came up with this whole central pay system that's just psychotic.
See I'm on the other side, my dad decided $125 a month was too much even though he was pulling down about 80K/ year and we learned just exactly what could be done about it under the old system (not a damn thing). So I'm bitter about the legitimate problem that they "solved" through the worst means possible.

I've never stayed in a first-class Asian hotel; I don't know what they do there. Depending on where you are in Asia, it is entirely plausible. They do things differently over there...

It's a pretty remarkable thing for a man just to go to a hotel room door and open it and have a woman standing there and have sex with herI find the standing part hard to believe.

As do I. Some guys get totally bent over by the system. Unfortunately it's starting to cause people to deny the legitimacy of the original problem, which makes for a lot of the uglier discussions on the subject. Major changes are needed.

They left out Sam Houston Johnson, Lyndon Johnson's brother. LBJ kept him out of sight at the Alamo Hotel in Austin. My sister told me she used to see Sam lounging in his underwear on the windowsill of his room, swiging bourbon. He was quite a character.

YOu think $1,500 a month is a lot for two kids when the man makes this much money? The cost of raising kids is invariant of the father's income. A person who makes a million dollars a year should pay no more child support than one who makes $50k a year. No child is owed a lavish upbringing whether wealthy parents are married or not, and the presumption of such is a rather sick and immoral perspective. You might as well force married people to spend a specific amount of money on their children as a function of income -- it is the exact same thing.

Bill Blythe does look like his son.
It will always be a matter of speculation "who" fathered Billy Blythe, but it's likely it was that travelin' salesman.
The Clinton/Blythe crew is so dysfunctional. You should hear the stories about the step-sister (Clinton's stepdads daughter from another marriage).

I have never read or heard about any of Reagan's children getting a finacial benefit/windfall or a cushy job for being related to the President. I sure could be wrong but I would like some documentation.
Bratty,goofy? That's another story.

Yes,Barbara spoke at the Rep.convention in support of her husband. She made it clear that family values were important and then clarified that there were "different" kinds of families. That in addition to her "pro-choice" position convinced me that it was the same old game.
I figured if her husband could not convince his own wife of the error of her position,he was not very effective or convinced of the truth of his position.

Do you happen to remember how the Rapist's two older half-siblings were suddenly in the news? The two of them had different mothers. I found the story interesting.
There they were, being interviewed, and now there seems to be no trace of anything to show that they were ever there. I mean, I think I tried to do an internet search on them... found nothing, or almost nothing.

Charles Keating went before the House Committee on savings and loan matters. He testifired, and it is in the Congessiional Record, that insuring Savings and Loans losses would create a mess and bankrupt the government. After it became clear that they were going to go ahead,he too opened a Savings and Loan. But you don't mess with government and they went after him fiercely. He ended up in jail.
He did not have a personality that was everyone's cup of tea but he was probably the least of the criminals, and I seriously doubr that he was a criminal, that made a fortune in that fiasco. He also had the audacity to fund a committee dedicated to stop pornography,I believe that was the main reason that they went after him.

Lauren the 19 year old doesn't get the support. It is probably because she is attending college on a government grant based on her mother's income.Lots of people do that, leave the wife with assets which are not considered income, nor is child support and have the kid go for a government grant. Known quite a few wealthy people who did that.
I am just speculating. It may not be true in this case but it does happen.

And the Child Support Shakedown continues...He's getting off easy. I make 50k and pay $807 a month for one child.

Many of these support problems were the result of the "No Fault Divorce" legislation. Dumbest thing that ever happened on the "domestic" court scene. More of the do whatever you want, there are no consequences for perpetrators, mentality.
