Maybe he'll also tell the media that it's okay to call "Florida" in the 2004 election when the EST time zone polls close; after all there is no "harm" in convincing several thousand voters to head straight home rather than voting when they get off work in the CST Florida panhandle.

Yeah, I got quite a laugh out of their little fantasy going on over there.
The cyber-rape thing was adorable wasn't it?
They are pretty easy to spot that's for sure, but they sure think they are being clever.
(But wait, maybe I'm one of the sleepers, not you.)
Oh no, I'm all confused now. Maybe their plan is working.
Idiots! That Eris guy sounds like a real prize.

He makes crappy techno music.
Heard of "We Are All Made of Stars"?
To: weegee
Hey, Moby thinks it's okay to spread vicious, untrue rumors about Bush's life; maybe we can start a rumor that Moby is a closeted straight guy!

You're making me laugh just by posting that picture! That is the face of a vegan -- why doesn't PETA use him in their "vegan men are sexier" commercials?

Aw, the "it was comedy" excuse!
Can I take a baseball bat and beat the crap out of Alec Baldwin and call it a comedy routine too?

Alec Baldwin made that claim later when he threatened to get the crowd with him and murder a Republican congressman and his family during Clinton's impeachment.

No need to spread false rumors. The truth about "Moby" is painful enough. Here are the words of someone who disected "the artist's" sellout to crass commercialism:
Moby Sells Out By Tim Grierson (excerpt from opening and closing paragraphs of lengthy editorial about Moby)
All 18 songs from Play have been licensed for a film or a TV show or a commercial or a trailer, an unprecedented feat. The record will go platinum soon a happy exception to the rule that really exciting, unconventional music wont be able to reach the mainstream. But instead of taking satisfaction in this fact, I can only see what looms over the horizon when band promoters take their own lessons from Plays success. Moby might have deservedly crossed over, but we the listeners will be the ones who get screwed over in the process.
Not long ago, legitimate rock n rollers would consider under no circumstances selling their songs to advertisers. Only hacks did that musicians with no integrity. [snip]
Maybe songs just arent important anymore. Theyre simply shallow, dumb, mindless drivel, and theyre not worth caring about or even respecting. Theres nothing artistic about them. Anybody can do it. A song is just a tool to get you to spend money it manipulates your emotions for somebody elses purposes.
Thats funny, because I thought Moby was trying to do more than that with Play....

He's a total sellout, isn't he? Moby is now most known for (take your pick): his insipid liberal politics, his selling out his songs to eeevvvil corporations (Billy Joel always got called a sellout, but he's never sold any of his songs for commercials), and his being publicly mocked in an Eminem song. What a legacy!
To: kattracks
He's supposedly descended from Herman Melville, I believe.
And yes, "We Are All Made of Stars" did indeed suck.

HI Texasflower, I figure this deserves a bit more attention. I imagine people are pretty aware of this by now, but as always when dealing with unknown avitars, caution is best.
Title: Taking down FR
FR is about to become no fun for anyone there.
They're not going to feel sure anymore whether the person they are talking to and agreeing with or the person they are arguing against is real, or a dual stringing them along.
There's going to be entire threads of duals arguing back and forth. Everything said a Sheeper agrees with may just be a set up.
We've been setting up duals and sleepers for the past three years now. Some are pretty quiet. Some are pretty high profile. And we register new ones every day.
Pretty soon, the Sheepers there are going to realize that it's no fun talking to anyone else on TOS, because you may just be wasting your time talking to a dual. Who knows - some may actually have to go outside and talk to real people in real life. (For the male Sheepers, those people with the bumps on the front are called women.)
To the extent it hasn't already from other factors *cough* Old Ironsides RimJob nutting out in a Bolshevik frenzy *cough* the membership there is going to dwindle.
What's really funny is that the hardcore conservatives who comprise my little troll invasion crew have been supplemented by some of the few brighter minds at DU who hate TOS for other reasons. When it's revealed how many high profile posters at TOS are actually the kind of liberals most of us wouldn't wipe our boots off on, the scat is really going to hit the prop.
TOS jumped the shark in 2000. We're just here to administer the coup de grace.
Time for a little free market of ideas chaos, Jimmy Boy. You better bring your A game. Cause this is a band of wise-ass hackers, ugly-ass crackers, psychotic and deeply disturbed trolls, and not just a few immature kids who have been pecking at computers since before they got out of diapers.
See you on the boards. But you probably won't see me. :^)
Hail Discordia,
Eris
(aka 223 other active TOS screennames)

In case Eris ever does read this, the "people" with four legs and covered in wool aren't women, although I imagine he's not too dissappointed.

Hmmmm.
Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web.
I wonder what his screen name here is?
Kerry has already started accusing the Bush administration and the re-election campaign of "oiling up the smear machine". I wonder what revelation he is preparing everyone for? I assume the media will uncover it pretty soon and then Mr. Kerry can scream an outraged, "I TOLD YOU SO!".
He protests a little too much for me.
To: kattracks
Slander has long been part and parcel of every Democrat campaign. Nothing new here, and nothing out of the ordinary.

I would think "Kerry served in Vietnam while President Bush only flew planes in the National Guard" was the Kerry campaign's idea of a political smear. They neglected to consider how John Kerry defended Bill Clinton (a man who noted that he "loathed the military"). John Kerry also went antiwar loon (protesting WITH Jane Fonda).
I guess if the George W. Bush campaign answers Kerry's charges "AWOL" accusations with these facts it will be labeled an attempt to "smear" Kerry.
