Trust me Dave, with this movie.. He is more alive than ever before.. Somehow, I am different today, I can't tell you what that means, as if anyone cares, but after witnessing this picture.. I have a load off, nothing of a burden about seeing all of the horror, it just wasn't that kind of violence.. words again escape me..

"From thatsashame6b on Wednesday February 25, 2004 at 10:09 AM: THIS MOVIE SUCKS. HE IS A ANTI SEMITE AND SHOULD BE KILLED. DIE DIE DIE." Reminds me of the scene in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" where they're reading some of the online chat about their upcoming movie. Hilarious scene, but none of it's suitable for posting here. :-)
And in the end of the film, they use their movie profits to fly around the country and personally kick the snot out of their amateur critics.

I feel the same way. I saw the movie yesterday, and I still can't explain how I really feel or how to describe it. I want to post more about the movie, but I don't won't to take anything away from anyone before they've seen the movie.

Methinks a review of Matthew Chapter 5 might be in order . . .

Agreed, the violence isn't what sticks, not in any real way. It's what He did, how He did it, and who He did it for. The movie is full of light, those in the dark won't see it, but the light will call those who are His.

How many times in your life have you said the "Our Father" in your life? What that be categorized as "vain repetition." Also, in the garden before His Passion, Jesus repeated the same basic prayer three times - "Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done." - Luke 22:42.

[ Mel Gibson succeeded in putting me in that moment in time.. Breathtaking, moving, frightening, lifealtering, and a total affirmation of my faith... ]
at the sidebar:.. What most people I know miss about this event is that the Jews picking Barabbas as the one to be released that year instead of Jesus IS that Barabbas means transliterated "Son of the Father".... as the final insult... i.e. crucifiying the real one and releaseing a known criminal with that name.. a real "DIS" to the messiah..
And judgeing by what some Jews are doing these days.. not a lot has changed with some, however I know many Jews that are also christians and many that are JINO's.. whats changed.... not a hell of a lot.. I would say... This movie has the POWER to separate them into groups, which is not an easy task. Because of that,
THIS MOVIE IS DYNAMITE STRAPPED TO THE SPIRIT and SOUL...
(Mel did a good thing and should be rewarded)

Thanks, Carlo. My husband and I are going to see "The Passion" tomorrow at 4 pm and I'm really looking forward to it.

Christ preached, "Love thy neighbor...." I do, but I'm having a "little" trouble with loving "MC-H."Then just pray for Jesus to love "MC-H" THROUGH you!

...NO OREGANO OR GARLIC.. GULP!.. Well.... maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself.. no skydiving or Squid.. OK, no clogging or body piercing.. :) Never, ever, give up GARLIC; it is the best heart medicine in the world...maybe that's why you have such a big one.
Clog dancing is popular at The Big Texan in Amarillo on Wednesday nights, and believe it or not while it doesn't compare to Dirty Dancing, it sure beats that Flatley bozo. (I don't think he is really Irish; I think he is an East Ender.
I read a review today on the movie, and the gist was that it was a very cruel movie...
Well, excuse me, but I have always been under the impression that the reason the United States Constitution specifically prohibits cruel and unusual punishment was to prevent anyone from making us drag our own killing device through the street, letting some noncom pound some spikes through us and then hang us out to die...that always seemed pretty damn cruel to me.

There is a difference between saying the same exact thing over and over in a row and praying about something a lot.

These are excerpts from Yahoo! News Wed, Feb 25, 2004
.....
Asked by Bart and Guber about the movie's afterlife, Gibson intimated it would be fiercely protected: "It's like one of your children," he posited, explaining he didn't envision any extra shots or sequences for the eventual DVD edition. He also said his company would ride close herd on the subtitling abroad to make sure the translations were in sync with the original English. He seemed to be uninterested in an eventual network airing: Unlikely, he said, given that "we'd want them to do it in one piece, with no commercials."
As for what he'll do after resting a while in his hammock, Gibson hinted there were myriad other stories in the Bible that deserve celluloid treatment.
"There are good stories in that book --- it's worth looking into them."
YO, ABE FOXMAN... HE IS GOING TO DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!. HA!

I went to our local theater in the Texas torrential cold rain today to get our tickets for 9:45 tonight. Everything else was sold out for earlier in the evening. Lake Jackson is getting drenched today.
