He is all TOO anxious to say President Bush will look like a HYPOCRITE. Obviously, he does not know the depth of clinton's selling favors in the Whitehouse or he doesn't care.
President Bush has done nothing like what clinton did in this matter.
I do not trust anybody who believes, RIGHT OFF THE BAT, that the liberal media MUST BE ON TO SOMETHING bad about President Bush.
If he is no troll, then he needs to be backing PRESIDENT BUSH.... not spreading the "evil implications" that the liberal press have conjured up.
We don't need any negative-newbys casting aspersions on President Bush!

It appears rantaway was zotted. Did I miss something?

Posting this stuff makes you look like a dem PR company plant. It's misleading - it trys to compare Clinton selling access to the Bush administration. You know it's not the same -- don't you? Please explain why you pollute this site with this type of half truth...He wanted us to know what the Dems/media are up to and what the next wave of disinformation would be so we could do the research to respond to it. For being here so long, you sure don't understand how things work...Jim's right about herding cats.
To: JackRyanCIA
Not really but I bet you the liberal press was waiting for this with baited breath. I bet you there were verrrrrrrrrrry disappointed too.

He/she puts the worst possible spin on a relatively balanced article. It just rubs me the wrong way.He/she wasn't spinning it! It was a direct quote from this 'balanced' article that you obviously didn't read very carefully:
" Some guests spent a night in the Lincoln Bedroom..."
I do not defend trolls. I'm only asking that 'rantaways' posts that 'woolfie' put up be read more carefully. 'Rantaway' was expressing an opinion towards Bush's motives. If you object then tell him so and engage in a civilized argument. This guy did nothing wrong and I object to the lynch mob mentality here when you folks start dancing on the abuse button because your reading comprehension skills have taken a day off.
But it's a moot point since he's been banned by the AMs.
I may be way off base here but I'd like to see something concrete that shows 'rantaway' was a disruptor. From what he posted on this thread...I don't see it.

This is such a non-story, and so easy to get rid of. Just email the media and show how there was no quid pro quo. Unlike Clinton, these people (those who were donors) had already contributed because they were friends. Clinton offered a stay in the White House in exchange for money.

Well it may play a tad in some areas but so far there is no indications of anything like the alleged fund raising tied to the sleep overs by the Clinton groups and pictures like the one in #56 above.... Nor Limbaugh leaving a note on the bed for the Bloodworths...... Now some of that may surface and if it does it'll carry more weight. But my guess is it won't play that much because most opinions are already formed based upon the Party allegiance.
You sound like you really treat your friends nicely..... but then maybe they enjoy not having to sleep at your quarters....

That scandal and Bush's criticism of it is one of the reasons the White House identifies guests. The President gives out a complete list of overnight guests, and AP has to dig through it to find anything in the least "controversial."
Even they have to see that all of these fundraisers are old friends of the Bushes. All in all, it's not that bad of an article. Thanks for posting it.

Rantaway might be a troll, and might not. If you want people to enjoy participating on this website, you'll hang fire until the evidence is a bit more convincing. Right on brother. I'm with you. The way this was handled was abominable.

They have given out a list of friends/givers, for the last three years.

unlike Dubya, I don't have a mansion to play with when it comes to entertaining. My friends survive. Just as his would if he was congnisent enough to ask his "friends" to stay in a local hotel.

I did read rantaway's comments in post 43. That's why I thought I missed something. I agree his comments could be construed as those of a troll; but, on the other hand, he might just be excitable. To be honest, similar thoughts raced through my mind when I first saw the news.

If he is no troll, then he needs to be backing PRESIDENT BUSH. Horse puckey.
You're telling me that one must toe the party line and have a Bushbot card to be able to post a reply on "Free" Republic?
I didn't think it had gotten that bad.
I do not trust anybody who believes, RIGHT OFF THE BAT, that the liberal media MUST BE ON TO SOMETHING bad about President Bush.
Please show me the post from 'rantaway' that states that he thought the media was correct in this.
Quite the opposite. His posts indicated that he was impugning the press on this story and only expressed a very mild doubt that there was no impropriety and that got him flamed and banned.

Does "oh THIS isn't good" appear in the article?
Let's just drop it. rantaway is gone.
